And I notice that this thread about “FUNNY THINGS WHITE PEOPLE DO”…has more personal, negative undertones mostly about NON-WHITE people. Whereas the opposite thread, has less serious tone with comments that are done more in jest about black people. Hmmm…why is that?
Which is why I said in the original thread that they couldn’t show me even one thread created that was done putting white people in a negative light that was NOT done in jest. There have been several threads over the years discussing something negative and attributed this action to the entire race of black people in this country yet there hasn’t been one that I can remember which does the same in the other direction…then they fault us for taking offense to it.
I really don’t think they can even see it.[/quote]
That’s exactly what I was getting at.

Because no message board thread can stay on topic for too long, and threads about race have an even shorter shelf life.

That is true…however, the difference in the tone of this thread and the “other” thread is really hard not to notice…well the other thread started that way…but actually developed a lighter tone. This one is getting darker tone…and not in direction of white people.

That’s the primary benefit to living in a world that gives privilege to skin color. If you are part of the majority, you basically make the rules. You can choose to not see racism even if you engage in it. You can fault people who take offense to it of being “too sensitive” or “politically correct”…when the truth largely is, some of us get sick of being labeled as an entire race due to actions of a few especially since this NEVER happens in reverse.
No one actually believes whites are lazy even if most of the homeless in my area are white. However, it seems very easy to claim most black people somehow walk slower (for reasons of suing if they get hit because they are all apparently on wellfare) in front of cars than any other race simply because a couple of people claim it is their experience.
We get to experience being labeled as an entire race constantly as if we don’t even have individual thought…then they turn around and fault us for looking for the best interests of “black people” by calling this “reverse racism”…as if they forgot that the need for this exists because blacks get labeled as an entire group for specific negative actions as if we all share the same brain.
The majority gets the privilege of being seen as an individual. The minority gets the privilege of being seen as part of an entire race constantly.
Funny Things White People Do:
Eat expensive organic and free range foods so we can look like people who eat inexpensive deep fried fast foods.
Take anti-depressants
Ride bikes with baskets to farmers market
Have vinyl record collections

Ethiopian restaurants… 'nuff said.
Jack Johnson
Phish
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
White Stripes AND the Black Keys (both of these I enjoy a lot)
Crunchy Grooves
Olive Garden
Wimeraners
Pin-Up girl tattoos
Moving into an old run down neighborhood, halfway fixing it up, then moving out to the burbs when the kids are born to be closer to better schools.
Watch cars drive around in a big circle and think it’s exciting.
Worship NASCAR!

Yep…I see that type of thinking prevalent on these forums. But I have yet to directly encounter this type of thinking in real life…just passive-aggressive attitudes because people are afraid to say how they really feel. Plus they damn well know that in their everyday lives, the assumptions they make are false. They might see the things that make them see black people in a negative light, but they know all black people are not that way…they just want to convince themselves they are by only focusing on the negative.
They are bound by their own ignorance…not that of the few negative black people…or other non-white people they encounter on a daily basis. The negative,passive-aggressive white people that I encounter on occassion doesn’t give me the right to speak negative of ALL white people. 90% of the time it doesn’t even give me credence to say that they are racist. I worked for fucking Sheriff Dept. of a TX county that is 80% white…I’ve been treated differently than others…some with well intentions that I didn’t need…but still by the color of my skin. Yet I am not bound by the ignorance of those encounters. Why is this so hard for others??
Sometimes this shit really pisses me off…then I realize it’s the internet. This is the place that most live a pseudo-life…talking and responding in ways they never would in real life. If they actually took the time to address their issues in real life and not venting on a internet forum…they would probably have a better experience with black people.
But maybe that is a sign of them being socially inept in dealing with others in the first place. Because if they can’t civilly discuss things in person, maybe they need to look at themselves instead of outwards and BLAMING OTHERS<----which ironically, black people are CONSTANTLY faulted for doing. People just feel comfortable in their own world…yet act as if they have a complete understanding of the world outside their comfort zone. Now I will go listen to some Mastodon(YES,MOTHERFUCKERS…I’M BLACK AND LIKE MASTODON…AND I ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND THAT SHIT!)…end of rant.
Some examples of the excellent dancing skills white people have:

this topic is hilarious… i still can’t believe that people argue about this bullshit. i for one believe in equality… but equality means equality, not “equality, but i should get more than you because i’ve had it so rough”, waaa waaa waaa… it sickens me. i don’t owe anybody shit, just like nobody owes me shit… you earn what you deserve and that’s it

LOL.
I have started laughing some of it off because I know for a fact 99% of the people making the most noise here would never walk up to me in person and say anything close to what gets written here. I also know that I pretty much act and speak in real life just like I type here…so I know one of us being absolutely fake which is just funny as hell.
Think about it, this is the ONLY place people have called me fat as if I am obese (because clearly everyone else looks like a mag cover-model…which is why they don’t have any pics available). This is ONLY place I keep reading all of these threads about some negative action some black person did and how this somehow translates to most or all other black people.
The internet gives some of these little bastards balls that they never have in public.
That mighty computer screen is like a shield and they get to keep jabbing out with their tiny little prick-like keyboard all while wishing they had the stuff in them that would allow them to be real men in their own lives.
Yeah, I find it more funny and pathetic now than anything else…and that’s a good thing.
And why is it so motherfucking quiet in here all of a sudden?
