Funny New Ludacris Song

obama is here.

just a song about a possible president, I find it humorous, but not something to debate about, that’s why i posted it in Get a life, If a mod has a difference of opinion, obviously, they’ll move it.

apparently obamas campaign has condemned the song

sometimes people that want to help just don’t know how to.

lol luda luda luda I guess he’l just have to wait for the next fast and the furious movie for a hit or if he cant wait that long just start raping about 28inch rims, h@es and what a pimp he is!!!

lol. I can see why the obama campaign condemned it. It focuses way too much on race, saying they’re gonna “paint the white house black.” If there’s anything that will push a an uneducated white teetering on indecision between candidates, the other way, that’s it.

His statement about the song praised Ludacris for his talent while condemning the song.

Ludacris DOES have talent and I doubt most who actually listen to his music would disagree.

I thought that particular song sucked, however, and I am surprised he released something like that when Nas did a song that makes this one seem like a waste of time.

I am not into his music but that is neither here nor there. Obama’s condemnation was very wishy washy and designed to not offend anyone. He should have called him a motherfucker.

Wait, so since Obama didn’t call him names or act like he didn’t have talent at all, this makes him “wishy washy”?

I may never play that song again, but maybe you should stop expecting every politician that has the chance at a leadership position to share your own restricted opinions especially when it comes to entertainment.

I was surprised to read that from you.

Wait, no I wasn’t.

You don’t like Hip Hop music apparently. Do you think there is something wrong with those who do?

Pretty much. Obama didn’t have to praise Ludacris at all. He could have said the lyrics were in poor taste and have been done with it but he didn’t want to risk alienating Ludacris fans so he had to praise Ludacris. He could also have said that Ludacris doesn’t speak for him and people that have a problem with Ludacris should take it up with Ludacris.

I don’t really care what kind of music he likes.

I think their taste in music is inferior to mine, just as country music fans taste is inferior.

This is not a hip hop issue, this could happen with any form of entertainment.

Who thinks Ludacris speaks for him? Anyone on the planet AT ALL?

Why would he ever risk alienating Ludacris fans unless there were something serious to alienate them over? I am one of those fans (although, not fan enough to actually BUY a cd from him). I also know that song sounds pretty weak and childish.

I am confused as why you feel the need to see Obama degrade Ludacris beyond the focus on this one song. You have yet to explain that position.

But it didn’t. It happened with a genre of music that ECLIPSES the popularity of nearly all other genres in terms of popularity (even though I was even surprised to find out how many country music fans there really are).

It wouldn’t make good political sense for ANY politician looking to win an election to piss off all of the fans of Hip Hop.

I am truly laughing at your use of the word “inferior”. I don’t like much country music, but there is no way in hell I would have written the same as if I think they are beneath me in some way.

That is very telling.

That is my point, he didn’t have to degrade him, nor does he have to praise him. When asked about the song all he had to say is he doesn’t agree with it.

Condemning the song while praising Ludacris’ talent makes him look insincere.

It was also a joke.

“They vomit their gall and call it ‘music’.”

This is mild. Drag it over to the politics forum and we will cut loose!

So there are actually people who consider that saying, “While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.” is kissing Ludacris’ ass?

There is a difference between acknowledging talent and praising it.

Obama likes Ludacris - he said in a Rolling Stones interview that he considers him a great artist and businessman. He has Ludacris on his iPod, for God’s sake.

If he DIDN’T toss in something positive about Ludacris or his music, I can only imagine how many people would be citing the Stones interview and calling him things worse than “wishy washy”.

In fact, I don’t doubt that they either have, or will.

People who have a problem with this have a problem with Obama, in general. If you read the entire piece Obama’s campaign released about this song, I think he handled it exactly as I would expect any politician running for the Presidency to.

Heard it on the AM news stations this morning. I must say I was a wee bit surprised by the lyrics. Double standard?

Yes. Considering all of the other black presidents you have to compare to.
