generally speaking i like your posts and am pretty sure i said as much in one of your logs

however, you’ve strongly implied that X is WELL in excess of 25% BF based on the pic a few pages back

if you or anyone else here think in all honesty that shows BF of around 25-30% you are simply losing all credibility

in all seriousness, i can only assume you are trolling? or looking at another picture?
Where did I stronly imply that he is “WELL in excess of 25%” in this thread?

I went back and looked and all I see is me saying that I thought Brick’s assessment of 25% bodyfat was reasonable and when you implored as to an exact number my exact words were “can’t and won’t give an exact figure” and “higher than 25%”. I don’t see where you are getting anything out of that besides exactly what it says.
you originally said you were 26%

then that based on the pic he was above that

this strongly implies it is a good bit above that, not 26.5% but more like 28-30% at least (as you are so sure you can state this on sight of the pic without any other info)

you then back tracked to the more vague “25+”

you can choose to backtrack further and say i am putting words in your mouth or whatever

the reality is you have no credibility saying this stuff and to then defend it by saying that more people than not would agree with you is total bullshit and is another request for the usual idiots to ruin the thread by saying he’s not a doctor/ a real BB or some other completely irrelevant shit to distract from the point that you made a baseless statement, got called out on it and chose to change the focus as others are already doing to complaining about X’s attitude or tone or education etc etc etc.

it is ironic that you and others make baseless sweeping statements usually in a derogatory/insulting/aggressive/arrogant manner and bring up post counts etc when i could say without question there are thousands upon thousands of identical posts from these people doing exactly that for years on end.

and again no it is not “fanboy” behaviour or whatever any of thh usual morons want to call it

all i am doing is saying you are losing credibility with this stuff that’s all
I’m not backtracking. Go back and quote where I said what yoou’re claiming I said, or give it up.

There are 60,000 posts by a single poster that do all of the things you are accusing those of us who disagree with X in here of doing, but you’re ignoring those.
One could argue that by assuming this guy is the exception and telling people that you will need to accept getting soft in order to become very impressive we would be setting limits on the guys with the most potential…

Im just playing… but still
If you have followed my posts you know I have specific guidelines for bulking that do not match what is currently being referred to as the traditional bulk. Some lifters can make great progress while remaining fairly lean, others may have to ‘fade’ their mid-section some before they are in their training sweet-spot. As others have mentioned the conditioning standard is different today than in the past and this must be taken into consideration by lifters with plans to compete. I haven’t spent much time in your threads and don’t know what your stage weight is or how much you add after a contest, but I suspect our approaches have more in comman than differences.
Oh i totally agree with you I was just being a dick in reference to the “natty limit” thread lol

Most people shouldnt aim to look like AC while.gaining, i agree

Something im surprised no one mentionned is that a reason why Pros do not get as soft nowadays is cause of the higher number of contest/guest posing appearance

They still manage to grow though

In tje end i think : do whatever the f you like as long as it makes u happy
Don’t the pros ‘mamange’ to grow without getting soft because of 3g of test a week, plus hgh, insulin etc while in the off season?
lol @ 3g
@stronghold

here you go

 • you were 26%
 • you looked leaner than that
 • you tend to store fat on abdominals, so “look worse than most people at a given %”

this STRONGLY implies that X is significantly over 25% BF in your opinion

to now say otherwise just loses further credibility

None of my statements in this thread are baseless.

BASED on the picture posted in this thread, I believe 25% bodyfat is a reasonable estimate.

The picture is the BASIS of that assumption.

My question to you is, what is your experience here? You have worked as a personal trainer taking other people’s body fat percentages several times in a day?

I mean, you had CT, someone way more experienced than you I assume, NOT agreeing with you…and you have several people, some of whom have seen me in person, NOT agree with you…so for you to continue thinking this way, you would HAVE to have some serious experience in this area.

I have worked as a personal trainer taking body fat percentages.

So has CT.

Why is it people with experience seem to NOT agree with you and what is your experience level?
Stronghold wrote:

there is a difference between him writing in a manner which some could potentially find arrogant or patronising if they so choose and people simply being rude insulting or abusive (not saying you are with these posts btw).

you come across as a bright guy and it is a shame that it appears in my opinion that you just want to score cheap points by saying he is 25%+ to get a bunch of “hell yeah’s” from the usual jerks who ruin threads.

other posters who i think could also benefit the board do the same.

it is ultimately a shame especially in a newly created forum that this happens, particularly as it has encouraged some posters who rarely post in these parts such as a couple of the uber cool smug BOI circle jerkers to add some of their own “wit” for page after fucking page forever.

jumping into a thread to make set point jokes with your posse >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The point to take home is I got many threads that are successfull and got a lot of views!

Im also sad no one adressed my post about natty vs enhanced guys as it was a good (best) post

Yes, for just under 4 years. I was carrying roughly 100 sessions weekly when I decided to reduce my client load to go back to school.

I also completed pre-med post-bac coursework with the intent of continuing on to medical school before deciding to pursue my current career path.

How many years did you work as a personal trainer? How many clients did you have? I’ve got boxes of paperwork in the attic I can go look at, but a rough count is well over 500, and I took a bodyfat reading on each of them on multiple occasions.

I didn’t see where CT has said anything about your bodyfat in this thread.

He mentioned that in CO he would estimate by bf% at around 16%. I am leaner in that pic than I was in CO. He also mentioned that it was hard to tell in clothes and I could be as high as 20 but this was in close contact with me for weeks.

You come along and add 5-10 more percentage points to that.

Many have responded that you are delusional with this…and I am sure you will try to rally the troops for support.

It just looks really childish now.

You feel some need to try to detract from any progress I have made by making it seem as if I am obese.

I’m cool with that…because I know too many people here can see through it.

I would challenge you to improve the state of this forum instead of contributing to its dilution…but we will see if you have that in you, won’t we?

I seem to recall him saying he didn’t get a good enough look to make an accurate judgement. I don’t think there’s much difference, if at all, between the more recent picture and the one from 2011.

I do find it interesting that they never posted the video of CT’s in-depth assessment of you.

I’m glad that three people, including yourself, constitutes “many”.

The new DXA scan machines are supposed to measure visceral fat as well, not just the “cosmetic” fat. It costs $85 near where I am. As an old fart, I plan to get one now that the health aspect is also part of the picture.

$85 is also a small price to pay to shut people up if I thought my integrity was being impugned, IMO.

The orthopedic Dr who owns the gym I go to is also a longevity Dr and he has one of these scanners. About twice a year he holds a contest and scans people for free.
