Ronnie had way more muscle obviously than zane, he wasn’t anymore “full house”.

If Frank Zane in his prime walked in with Frank Zane fatter and in “full house” mode who would get more stares?
Are you serious with this?

Zane weighed all of 200lbs in his BEST condition and size.

There is no way in hell Zane would EVER look bigger than Ronnie.
I never said he would…can you read? I even explicitly said he had more muscle (HENCE BIGGER)

I thought, correct me if I am wrong, that your definition of full house was carrying more fat to allow more muscle to be carried?

If so using Coleman and Zane is a bullshit example as Coleman was in a different size league with muscle alone, he did not need the extra fat to look bigger.

No one here would argue that a guy at 200lbs is bigger than a guy at 280lbs in similar conditioning…
Still loling

If you just want to nitpick, KENNELLY would get more attention than Zane if both walked into the room at the same time because Kennelly is bigger.

I was making a point about size being more impressive than how someone looks. It was not some definition of what full house is. I already said many times that Kennelly shows that best.

Once again, for the people not able to follow along, it doesn’t matter if many people say ZANE “looks better” than Coleman. If Coleman walks in the room, more people will stare at Coleman even if Zane “looks better”.
I agree with your points that this full house thing does make one look bigger. I don’t disagree whatsoever that more muscular size will demand attention.

But it can also be argued that in the same weight range of muscle achieved a person at a lower bf% will look bigger than the one at a higher bf% range.

While that may be true in some people, that has so much to do with muscle shape and overall build than anything else.

CT has a wide waist. So do I. Even lean, my waist will NEVER look like someone with a smaller waist…so it will be up in the air if getting that lean makes me “look better” or “look more impressive” considering I’m not overweight to start with.

Also, I think the take home message is, most really big guys will be softer at some stages.

Ct was when he was younger.

Some would say that is WHY he looks as impressive as he does now…because he want ahead and just put that size on first.

Yeah I would definitely agree with all that

I didn’t say anything about contest condition. The combination of size and leanness looks better than a full house look, even if the full house guy is bigger.
This again is NOT about what looks better.

Frank Zane in his prime may LOOK better than Ronnie Coleman…but Coleman will get more of a response in public due to sheer size.

In public, size beats all in most situations unless literally talking about someone who is obese or has a gut hanging.
This thread has been about what looks better from the very beginning. Not sure where you missed that.

If I have to look like Kennelly to bench what Kennelly benches, then I’ll take that every single time.

Although, I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t take Cormier’s prime physique…

Dear Lord, some people DO like being more filled out better.

I have no real desire to get really lean…because no one is calling me fat right now but some of you right here who thinks abs coming in means “25% body fat”.

It’s getting retarded. In the real world, no one is going to look at CT and me together and start nitpicking. If anything, like was stated before, they will either see us as pretty much equal or that I may stand out a little more simply because I am bigger than he is.

Not sure how you can argue that.

Yes, some people would rather be full house most of the time and then diet down for beach weather.

That kind of attitude will likely build more really big people than guys who think you need to be 10% at all times your entire life.

No problem. Try going out into the real world because I seriously doubt most people would agree with you that leanness is what stands out most to people over sheer size.

I’m just quoting this post for re-affirmation and for posterity’s sake

This is amazing.

This is where you lose people. In the real world and here, people can look at you and CT and see that CT is in better shape and at least as muscular as you. You have a higher amount of body fat, which gives you the optical illusion of having more muscle. The only people who would prefer your look over CT’s look are people who don’t want to watch what they eat, simple as that.

This whole thread boils down to the group that has the self control to watch their calories to stay lean, and those who don’t and pretend they like being “bigger” (aka fatter).

You’re full of shit. I prefer bigger and less lean to smaller and ripped. Don’t talk about shit like your opinion is a fact. I don’t care if other people do that. It has nothing to do with “self control”. It has to do with your goals.

Wait…so the only way someone would want to look like me is if they don’t care what they eat?

LOL.

And you think I got to this size by not caring or watching what I eat?

Wow.

My guess is, you aren’t anywhere near that size because no one gets to my size or looks like this by not watching what they eat at all.

Yeah I am serious. What do you disagree with? Sometimes you’re as bad as Quincy with your vagueness!

Or CT may stand out a little more because he’s leaner.

Not sure how you can argue that.

But this is all about opinion and preference. You keep trying to state your full house preference as fact and use two bodybuilders who are 100 lbs apart in contest condition as a supporting statement.

Obviously full house Priest is more impressive than leaner Priest because he is heavier.

He doesn’t have any more muscle on the left though he’s just straight up fatter lol.

LOL. I think my point was made very well…and I seriously doubt anyone else is agreeing that there are “moon faces” and guts in those pictures posted here.

If you want to believe that people in public would stare at someone who was leaner than everyone else more than they would stare at someone who was bigger than everyone else, so be it.

We disagree.
