1st 3 reps of every set felt like air, then by 5th rep it was RPE 9.5.
Today was a tough day, I skipped legs for the bigger picture of letting my hip heal. So hard but as soon as I started benching I knew it was the right play. I am also staying out of my office as sitting seems to severely aggravate the hip.
AM Weight 101.55kg Love this body weight, up until this body weight it has always been a struggle of starving vs being fat (my whole life). At 100kg this matches my appetite and thanks to drugs I can be relatively lean (and arguably healthier) at this body weight.
FK IBUPROFEN I am certain that shit made my hip worse and kept my body from dealing with what ever it is going on down there. Then I lifted through the issue (pain free) making everything worse. I stopped the Ibuprofen but the pain was excrutiating so I took Naproxen and and it is already a ton better.
Bro Science Ibuprofen vs Naproxen: As I understand it Ibuprofen stops inflammation and pain. The problem with this is that pain is the signal to the brain to fix something and inflammation is how it does this.
Naproxen also hinders these things but acts as a muscle relaxer. This is why when I get incredible SI joint pain or other lifting pain 1 naproxen alleviates the issue permanently (or until the next time I go too hard in the gym) If I still have pain after 1 pill I consider it an injury.
The Ibuprofen just delayed the resolution of the issue and allowed me to pain free make it 100x worse.

Hip feels so much better, no pain pills today and it is ginger but I should be squatting Thursday (when gym is open again).

It isn’t necessarily just being science. I’ve had a doctor advise me to use naproxen over ibuprofen because ibuprofen doesn’t do much for me unless I take four to six tablets at a time.
I think the difference is that one is a COX-1 inhibitor and one is a COX-2 inhibitor. COX is cyclooxygenase, and is a pain mediating enzyme that acts during inflammation. From memory, different kinds of inflammation trigger either COX-1 or COX-2 activity, so whichever inhibitor you take better be the right one. Naproxen is often sold as a period pain relief because it inhibits the COX most commonly activated during periods. I’m guessing there may also be a different prevalence of COX-1 and 2 between individuals. So for you, one type may be more prevalent across most inflammation and it’s the type ibuprofen doesn’t inhibit well.
I actually thought it would be reverse but that is awesome. I am going to have some new reading tomorrow!!! (About the Cox stuff)
Not Hungover because I fell asleep before I could drink too much LOL #oldpeople 1130 came and hit me like a brick. It helped I was double fisting a 2nd Red Solo with Water. General Blueprint:

OK Pumpy POWA to start. 90% of this is because I just want to cure this BBing itch I have. Also it will let me settle into the new split, lean out for the powa bulk and get the drugs in my system. Unfortunately this time will also be a healing time for injection site etc (fk you december). With that I think the biggest take away I had drug wise was BREW YOUR OWN FKN GEAR!!!
Test is started low but I am pretty sure I want that higher as that really seems to bring out the strength when paired with Tren. I dont see myself bumping Tren.
We will try Tamox only and let the Gyno come where it might LOL I actually think this will be so much better for Gyno, strength and energy. I am kind of excited.
The Halo is raw powder so I am really excited to try what I know to be legit Halo. I also have Superdrol.
Split:
New split has an emphasis on Arms. Late in prep I can drop the arm training for more recovery (as well as most the assistance).
Periodization:

Currently I am half way through Week A. So the first 3 weeks I dont even really consider prep. The + after numbers means that my first set is at that weight but ideally I add weight if I can…or lower it if needed.

Only the 680 Squat would be an all time PR. Cool thing about those attempts is that if I go 6 for 6 my opening Dead is a PR total. 2nd Dead is 800kg 3rd Dead is 1800lbs. I think I should have a higher bench and maybe smaller dead but that is the general idea.
If… Powerlifting just isnt going well I think I am ready to move on. I did what I could and it is time to accept the inevitable. I kind of just want to be sexy anyways…but of course there is always that next PR, the next Total.

LONG WAYS TO GO! I was really expecting more out of todays workout but FK! Its almost like diet and training are important for performance? In my defense form was shit for not squatting in a week and I barely ate yesterday so that softens the nut kick a bit…its still a nut kick though.

My family LOVES spicy food. They drink Salsa that melts spoons. Soooo I bought some Carolina Reaper peppers. I have eaten an entire Habenero before. That experience was worse…but this I do think was way hotter. First bite I just had the tail. It had heat but Mi Suegra has made hotter salsa. So then I tried a tiny piece with a seed. Yikes. That was hot. Tears, throbbing tongue, tons of fun. Mi Suegra and Tia both said it was hot too, of course they handled it much better.

Tren Homebrew: SMOOTH LIKE SILK!!! I have already noticed minor physique upgrades and its not in my head because Wifey saw it too. I am still a bit worried though because I am not 100% sure my filters held up through the process…but that is what the BA is for right?
Poker Goals: STOP PLAYING LEVEL ONE!!! I play across 6 different levels. My lowest level is primarily used as my “Junk Volume” for when I am not playing great or just protecting a win. Which is fine it is still a decent hourly (and stress free) and I can win there when I am not at my best. Problem is I think I am using it as a crutch and it is holding me back. So now I will try to put my Junk Volume in at level 2 and just stop playing Level 1. Ideally I continue to filter out lower levels until I am just playing at Level 5 and 6…or LEVEL 9000!!!

Patriots -4: This opened at -5.5 and has come down which actually isnt great for the NE side but I think this is an overreaction to NE’s struggles this year. I like NE to bounce back this week (before getting stomped next week in KC).
Vikings +8: This is too many points for a playoff matchup. The thing where Cousins sucks in “big games” is possibly mis characterized by start times. He is really good at the 1pm start time (when “normal games” are played) and sucks every other start time (when “bigger” games are traditionally played.)
Eagles Money Line at +106: When SEA was in their prime there was a great system where you bet against who ever played SEA the week before because they would be beat up (Legion of BOOM was real AF). SEA is on the other side of that coming off a tough fought loss against the 49ers last week. They also arent as good as their record indicates.

Squats felt better each set so that is promising.
That deadlift set is an all time deadstop PR by far and almost killed me. I couldn’t even do 1 set of curls after that.
I have no fkn idea how these young whipper snappers do back down sets after their top set but I am pretty sure I answered my own question… youth.

Also I love PLing again. December was rough. But after Monday’s Squats I am feeling strong (ish) and youthful (ish) again.
