Frequency and Mixing High and Low Reps

Apologies if I’m misreading this, but I really don’t think going into the 95%+ region on multiple exercises so frequently is a good idea at all - disaster waiting to happen.

Let me know if I’m misinterpreting though.

Personally, I think you should switch up the split. It doesn’t seem like getting into the gym frequently is an issue for you; since you have programmed 4 days on, 1 off, I think you could benefit from a much higher frequency type of approach. Also, I notice that you only do OHP, BP, Squat, and deadlift on your strength days. On your current split, you’re performing those movements once every 10 days, which would not be optimal for strength gain. I would suggest for OHP, BP, and squat to implement variations of those for your hypertrophy work as well.

In regards to rep/set/volume/intensity, it’s tough to gauge exactly what to prescribe without some more concrete goals or at least information on your current strength. You say you have been lifting off and on for five years and have had a variety of frequencies. What is your current strength level on the OHP, BP, squat, and DL? How long have you been consistently lifting (i.e. if you’ve been off and on, how long have you been “on”)?

Cheers
