BG - not sure what type of bands they are… basically the red have less resistance, then the orange, then the beige ones…I mostly work with the red and orange ones.
as for the butt activation that makes sense. I was squeezing my butt going down and that just made me tight and I couldn’t hit depth. I need to activate them not squeeze them. Sounds deceptively simple.
As for shoes I am wearing chucks. Would I need to find a specialist to find those support arches? could I hide them in my chucks? the rules for PL competition shoes are pretty strict.
MIM- in the words of histers…chyea! (can’t believe I had to google to check spelling.lol!)
Sometimes you mistime your rest or your load and you fail on lighter lifts, it happens. You got your stuff done and thats all that matters in the long run.

He got them from a shoe store. Shouldn’t have to go to the doc, buy you might not be able to find them at the local Walmart. They aren’t the insoles, but little half moon inserts that he taped into his Chucks. It was a simple $6 fix.
I don’t know if you could get away with them in comp. I’m assuming you’d be competing IPF and you’ll probably need a doctor’s note from an IPF approved doctor and you’ll probably have trouble finding a company that’s up to date on that equipment licensing fee…At least that’s my understanding of how the IPF works.
Nice dinner Frenchie. Minus the beef I would eat that. I do eat a bit of seafood from time to time, mostly out of necessity. I love goat cheese and porcinis. Yum. The red wine goes without saying.
Keep up the wall squat practice. I’m sure that the payoff will be HUGE when you perfect it.
Dammit Mainie, I’m West Indian, stop talking about curry ;D
And yes, glute activation. Squeezing your glutes while thinking of everything else to do during a squat doesn’t sound fun.
Good luck with the quick-fixes for your squat
Like you said, it’s what puts us ahead of the pack <3
