The reason I used my wheeled chair is because the height is adjustable and I figured it would “help” me remeber to sit tight and not plop down. OK then, I need a new box. check.
Not posting much cause there’s not much to poste. I’ve been putting some good hours in at work and babysat my niece last night so mom and dad could have some couple time at the restaurant.
I’ll be picking up my hubby from the airport this afternoon and then tomorrow is show time.
I tried checking out your logs but like a junkie, it makes me antsy so I’m hanging out in sama and gal until sunday.

Taking a break from the logs pre-meet???
sounds like a good thing to do
White lights tomorrow! and remember to have some fun!
Thanks everyone for keeping my log hopping while I was out busy
The meet went really well all things considered. It was my first one so I was taking this more as a learning process than a competition. I had no issue with my weight. Weighed in at 154 (all dressed) max for my group was 158.
Had no issue with commands in general and had no idea I was lifting in front of a (small) crowd. I was literally blanking out, total focus. It was pretty awesome. My main issue was getting pumped and angry. That’s how I usually push for my PR’s I was kinda zoning neutral which was fine for openers but not ideal for killing it. Next time I am bringing my Mp3 player with a few choice songs on a play list so I can tap that part of me that pushes a little further.
In terms of scoring I won 2nd place women’s and best female rookie by default. We were only 2, and first place Angie is a provincial record holder in the deadlift. I did not hit any PR’s but that will be for next time. So without further ado here’s my breakdown for yesterday…
Squat
75kg/165lbs - good
82.5/181.5lbs - good.
90kg/198lbs - no good - depth. this would have been a PR. Should have gone for 190 PR. got greedy.
Bench - was disappointed with my results here. It’s usually my strong lift.
62.5/137.5lbs - good
67.5/148.5 - no good
67.5/148.5 - no good - I should have nailed this.
I need to practice more chest pauses and focus on leg drive with flat feet.
Deads
110kg/242lbs - good
117.5/258lbs - no lift
117.5/258lbs - got it.
Fantastic job, Frenchie! I know you feel a bit disappointed with the bench but all things considered, this was a very respectable first time out and a good base to build on. You popped your cherry!
