Frenchie's Fromage

supper:

marinated pork loin in whiskey, garlic and soy sauce, oven roasted baby potatoes served over fresh aragula and spinach. with a side of shiraz.

hmmm.

bye bye abs. hello fatty!

Don’t worry not shy, just that I live on the other side of town and it’s not convenient for me to come out regularly. I train about 2 minutes from home or at the gym at my office mostly. If I decide to do a meet and to use gear, I’ll come out for a hand. It’s a fun place, you’ll meet some of the other girls that are pretty little and very strong, and maybe my pet Sam.

Yay TIRES!!!

Delicious dinner. Now I REALLY can’t wait to see your hubby’s bday dinner.

That looks delicious. I’m not hungry, but mmmmm.

im always hungry AND it looks delicious!

face palm I wrote whiskey, I meant scotch. Is Dalwhinnie the good kind? oups, I forgot. lol Sorry Git.

Nikii - brother and his wife are prepping supper as his gift and there will be french onion soup smothered in gruyere, a spicey shrimp salad, braised lamb shoulder and I’m bringing wine and a few peices of good chocolate as dessert. After a meal like this cake would just kill us. My gift to him will be a good bottle of scotch to replace the one a finished yesterday.

Hai Kimba and Cbear. There are no leftovers but I’ll whip you up a fresh plate.

Friday!!!
I’m getting my black screen today. Ok, now off to work for me.

sarcasm is no good over the internetz unless you put a smiley or a “lol” or somefin. I just checked your log. You’re having the worst luck with the pics. [/quote]

Yes, i dont know what the hell is going on. I’m sorry about the lack of sideways happy faces etc. Schoolboy error.

got my screen!! and managed to unwrap it and put that 9 foot sucker away before the hubby came in and complained about something so massive in our tiny place.

next on my list - lighting.

It’s times like these I wish I had a house to have a “studio” room to set it all up.

lol X2!!

tonight’s brand of torture:
rehab. rehab. rehab.

Squat
95lbs x 3 for 30 minutes trying to internalyze cues.
1- tighter bar
2- sit back!!
3- spread the floor
4- explode out

95lbs sounds puney but each rep was done slowly to make sure every muscle was activated. ouch.

barbell row
75lbs 3x8 - ouch. these were tougher than they should be

facepulls 35lbs 3x12

t-bar rows
45lbs plate 3x12

bench
95lbs 3x8 - flat feet, trying to recreate a decent arch. slow and controlled.

I’ve said it before but I’m saying it again: taking a step back and relearning is hard on the ego but hopefully it should pay some sweet dividens.

supper: brought the hubby to a nice italian joint for his b-day gift. there was a nice bottle of private import Tuscan wine. Buttery prociutto wrapped arounh kaki fruit, my favourite primavera with arrabiata sauce AND cheese cake for dessert.

Cause this is all going to help my squatting muscles right?!? lol.

aye - been there, done that! video and review all the time, also remember that flaws wil show up more with the heavy stuff, so don’t neglect that. hit it heavy periodically for singles.

i’m sorry but i don’t know what your dinner was, hope it was tasty…

god bless your food and your bigger better squatting ass.

Your log always makes me hungry.

3- I set up me squat nicely, tight bar, tight back, good breath, but it all goes to shit as I bend. I don’t sit back enough and I revert all to my hammies once I’m in the hole. Squat session was basically plenty of reps using bar only and then 95lbs. To really get some glute activation she recommended that I imagine trying to rip the platform apart with my feet as I sit back. This tip really helped understand how to sit back.

Awesome that you found a gym replete with giant tires and good coaches. Thanks for sharing the tips and verbal cues that you are learning. YOur enthusiasm and excitement is contagious. And I’m really looking forward to following your progress.

I thought you had a squat vid somewhere…
Regarding sitting back, give your lower back a good arch and stick out your ass some before descending. With a good tight upper back this will help you sit back without bending forward out of the hole. Keep your chest up and actively push your head back into the bar on the way up. If your elbows come up (chicken wings) use an overhand grip. I squatted thumbless for a year to train those elbows to stay pointing down at the floor.
Vids please!

Still doing great girlie! And i am looking forward to you making good use of that black screen! I feel like You have been waiting for that thing since last christmas!

Thanks for the tips D.

here’s the link to my 135 x5 where i thought it was sooo bad. aw well.

maxing out at 185.

Bear- Amen.

pch2 - my log is totally anti-diet and proud to be. eat well, live well. I’m sorry but seeing my abs more won’t make me happier. Benching my bodyweight or squating 4 plate…Totally.

Nadia - Told you squat rehab was very common. I started this March when I realized I wan’t hitting anything close to proper depth. Now I have depth but I’m told I’m not using the right muscles to get out if it. Seems like I can’t win. But I always say it’s the journey and even if it takes me 20 years, well god damn I’ll be one rockin retiree.

Alpha - a Month. shit. and I dropped like 300$ for it. But i find that like everything in life, once you pay for it, service is crap. Up until you fork up the cash they are over you like leeches. I should know this by now. When we bought our bed 4 years ago we paid for it all upfront and waited a fuckin month to get it!! rookie mistake.

Well we are getting our first snow today. Woke up to a white blanket and the flurries are still coming down. Planning to hit the gym some more today to activate glutes and hammies.

also I need a few stretching exercises for tight achiles and hammies. cause when I decide to do something I don’t go at it sideways.

On a different note my sleep seems to be getting worse. Anybody else keep waking up from numb limbs? Last night I woke up like every hour to shift around. Part of it is due to the mattress, although it’s rather new turned out to be a lemon. fuck. Second I did drink half a bottle if wine which aggrevates things but even on a sober week night I have this. I used to sleep through it but now I’m open to suggestions.

Planning to have fun with the screen tomorrow to learn how to set it up. Also I’ll be taking some family portraits of my bro, his wifey and cookie-face kid next week. I’ve been shopping around for some portrait lighting and found a few things. If anyone reading my log has an insider tip for me on this I’d gladely take it.

*hums it’s beginning to look a lot like christmas *
