I believe he was talking about his personal experience rather than media stories and politics.
In any case, I don’t think you can make a good case that other politicians have an equal lack of impulse control. Certainly not anywhere near as frequent. Political activists and protesters, possibly. Athletes maybe, though I balk at the use of “tons”.
Celebs in general sit opposite you on the political spectrum and aren’t the brightest so you’re probably hypersensitive to their brands of stupid, but they also care more about their social media following than most of their “causes” so they watch their ass to a degree.
First off, does anyone have the right to speak at a university? Because that is the question. So does Milo have the right to speak at any university he wants? If someone at a university does not want Milo speaking there it’s about Milo speaking there and not anyone’s right to hear him speak.
It’s about a university having the right to deny or allow speakers. Would it be wrong for a school to have certain criteria for speakers? Would it be wrong for them to take into account how it will affect campus climate?
You also never answered why anyone should care what Milo has to say.
The issue is you keep talking about things that are different than what I replied to. I replied to your post about lack of impulse control and lack of emotional control. Trump doesn’t have either of those and will change on a whim based on what people are saying. He will fly into outrage constantly and tweet like a maniac over even the smallest amount of what he perceives as criticism. Then he will continually attack that person even if told by his team of colleagues to knock it off. He ignores the advice of experts and is often described as being out of control.
Well ok then. Are you on his staff or…? Again, I dislike a lot of his tweets (Twitter is a cancer) but im not as convinced as you that he’s “out of control.” He should reign it in a bit though
In any other situation, the amount of hostile turnover of top officials is so far beyond what would be acceptable. Based on that alone, he is out of control.
Elon musk got booted from leading his own company because of a few irresponsible tweets. Yet POTUS posts those kind of tweets regularly.
Egregious gladhanding dictators and despots, usually with the obvious goal of enriching his own family and friends. Getting utterly, and publicly outclassed in negotiations and discussions by other world leaders at summits and 1on1’s.
And the part that really irks me: not representing this country in a dignified, respectable manner I can be proud of.
Are you basing this off of anything empirical or just your “sense of things”? You know where I’d place my money…
Also, what is the baseline? What’s your yard stick here for what is or isn’t ‘acceptable’? What is or isn’t ‘out of control’?
POTUS has a much larger board of directors – i.e. the American people – plus the organizational structure is vastly different. Apples to bananas my man
Again, what’s your yard stick? Are you measuring objectively or is this purely your opinion … again, you know where my money is
and there it is. It’s all about you. For the record, nothing but love for ya bud.
Milo was invited and had a scheduled event with attendees. The violent mob prevented his speech. The conversation is about whether to cow to the mob veto.
Only if you care to answer my questions…that’s generally how conversations work … I’m curious how you formulated your opinions, whether they were pure speculation based on your own sentiments or based on some sort of empirical evaluation…again, I know where I’m putting my money
