For all you geeks out there, this one may hit the spot.
I’m looking for a new FREE AV. Currently Using AVG but starting to have some technical difficulties w/ it.
All recommendations are welcome, however I’m namely looking for easy integration, and thorough coverage (read: frequent updates).
I’m also trying to avoid bloatware and don’t want some 10 odd processes running for it.
Thank you in advance.
Pudge.
I was gonna say AVG. I’d just go to www.download.com and hunt around there for some anti-virus software.
Are you aware that AVG has released new version of it’s freeware? I’m not sure what problems you are having? Also check that your firewall isn’t blocking your updates. Anyways goodluck.
AC
try Avast!
It really is free and the updates are quick /small / automatic
Hope this helps.

AVG had a few glitches when they released the new version, I would stick with it as they will have it fixed up pretty soon (according the tech help).
Avast is a little more bloaty.

www.free-av.com is one of the best.
I’m a geek; believe me.
