I suspect a lot of people around here don’t like Colbert
I don’t watch Colbert any more than I do Chris Matthews. The only difference between the two is that Colbert disguises himself as a comedian and speaks politically from the left. Matthews just rants and raves like a lunatic…from the left.

Just to put a smile on your face, Zeb:

“The largest effect is that of Fox News: all else being equal, someone who watched only Fox News would be expected to answer just 1.04 domestic questions correctly [out of five] – a figure which is significantly worse than if they had reported watching no media at all. On the other hand, if they listened only to NPR, they would be expected to answer 1.51 questions correctly; viewers of Sunday morning talk shows fare similarly well. And people watching only “The Daily Show With Jon Stewart” could answer about 1.42 questions correctly.”

Why is that distortion any funnier than the typical left wing lies?
What about asking news viewers objective questions and then averaging their responses is a distortion?
You are shaky ground on this one my friend. Study after study after study shows Fox viewers to be among the worst informed. Look up studies that ask Fox viewers whether or not Obama is a Muslim. It’s hilarious.
I’m sick of this dirty shit. You want class from me? Than stop posting “unbiased” sources to make ridiculous claims.
Media Matters central reason for existing is to air “dung studies” about conservatives. One of the most professionally produced networks in the world and these shit pickers claim study after study that FOX watchers are dumbf*cks. GROW A G_Damn brain, wake up and get off your thumbs.
The current administration is taking us on HYPNOTIZING journey into China’s pocket. Gee I wonder how many brainiacs believe this?
Obama wants the wealthy American’s money but not their advice. How shallow so many of you are to believe a community organizer with so little real world experience can FIX America by going down the trail of socialism. Detroit is his model. Detroit and so many other cities are DEAD.
Most of the anti-Fox anti-conservative sites that you and others are citing have nothing but “Force Fox News Off The Air” as their goal. No one says get rid of Al Sharpton boycott his MSNBC sponsors.
Do you really believe Media Matters as an unbiased source?
No, I do not believe it’s unbiased.
The post you quoted didn’t cite Mediamatters. The study was conducted by a university.
In fact, I haven’t cited Mediamatters at all. I did link to a video that happened only to exist on Mediamatters, but it was the video and not its host website that I was referencing. It was an unedited clip of Sean Hannity publishing a string of wildly inaccurate claims on Fox’s airwaves. It was apropos of this thread and, more importantly, no one in this thread has mentioned it or addressed it since I posted it–because, you know, Fox is so great and all.
By the way, Fox is not “one of the most professionally produced networks in the world.” It is mired in scandal after scandal of it own doing. Take, as a small example, the run-up to the election: FNC told its viewers not that the the race would be close, not that it was too close to call, not that Romney would win in a photo-finish–they pretended Romney was headed for a landslide, which flew in the face of almost every poll. And then Rove had a tantrum in font of the entire world.
Say what you want about Fox’s competitors. No cable news channel is good in my opinion. But, since they’re all online now and that’s where the competition is heating up anyway, Fox is really competing with everybody. And the thing about the New York Times, the WP, the Economist? Nate Silver may have been rooting for one guy or another, but if his model had predicted a Romney win, he’d have said so.
You’ve got Fox’s WHPC saying that they overdid Libya. You’ve got the (very unsurprising) Woodward report on Ailes’ attempted kingmaking (by the way, do you know what would happen if Jill Abramson were clandestinely recorded while trying to recruit a Democrat to run for office, promising Sulzberger would bankroll it and the NYT would be “your in-house”? She’d resign or be fired within 24 hours).
Some people have said, “but NBC edited the Martin tape!” A bit of a non sequitur in a thread about Fox, but at least they are correct. But NOBODY in their right mind is going to come in here and claim that Fox is fantastic.
