Found a Cell Phone

Do any of these responses change if the lost item is a fifty-dollar bill?

Oh, yeah— OP: Dick!

So Curran we meet at last…I’m very disappointed. Here I thought I lost it in the toilet and being to worried then read this shit. The other day driving, I hit a deer and went down a steep bank. SINCE I didn’t have my phone with me I could not phone for help.

I crawled out of my wrecked 89 Ford Tempo and walked to the nearest gas station to use a pay phone that LUCKILY wasn’t found and stolen by you. Shame shame shame everybody knows your T-Nation name. You don’t want to mess with me I watch UFC all the time. Cheeaa cheeaaa.

I was with my son and his friend at a local amusement park and his friend loses his cell phone on one of the rides, we look around, no phone. He calls his mom on my phone and she immediately has his phone deactivated. We check in at the security office about an hour later and someone turned in his phone. All was well due to decent people in this world.

I do kind of think the OP is a dick for actively trying to fuck someone by switching out the SIM card or whatever (I know shit about phones or how they work so…). If it were me, I’d at least wait to see who called and explain that I found the phone and maybe the caller cold help me return it, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.

And if the owner didn’t pop up in a timely fashion, I wouldn’t feel bad about using the phone or giving it to someone else who needs one.

My response would be dramatically different, since it’s impossible to figure out who that $50 bill belongs to.

That being said, once I gave a bartender a $50 and she gave me change for $100 by accident. After realizing I returned the money and got free drinks all night. It felt good to do the right thing.

Agree here. Clear conscience is worth more than 50 bucks. I saw an old man drop a stack of 100’s in the grocery store line right in front of me. I picked it up immediately and THOUGHT about keeping it for maybe 10 seconds, then changed my mind and returned it to him before he left the store. It wasn’t what I would have expected myself to do, but I’m glad it’s what I did.

I think thats a lot different… you cant just redial the last number on a 50 dollar bill and get in touch with its owner… and giving it to the police?? you know they are just gona pocket it…

I hope you lose your wallet and some shady mofo fucks up your credit.

You suck OP, get out of my state.

The OP’s a dickhead… well, the shaft and balls, also.

Not so much of what he did, but because of the dumbass attitude he has.

Blah, blah, blah…cry me a fucking river.

So OP found a phone in public and kept it. He didn’t pry it from some hobo’s hands nor did he yank it from an old lady’s purse. He found it on some random bench. Would it have been courteous to return it? Yeah, but he didn’t. SO WHAT…He would have never even found the phone had somebody not left it there. I guess if the phone was actually important to the owner, they wouldn’t have left it on a fucking BENCH in public.

Ever lost your keys asshole? I’m sure they are important to you and you have most likely misplaced them at some point in time before finding them, possibly even losing them forever. Did you have some one say to you “if your keys were important to you then you wouldnt have lost them.” People lose important stuff all the time. Some are careless but some do it by accident. Its not like the guy left his phone there on purpose so some asshole could come by and prove how much of a dick he was by taking it then bragging about it on an internet forum.

Refuse to read all posts, the only option is to call sex lines.

Someday the OP will get what’s coming to him. It might be that he loses his phone, or maybe he gets his identity stolen, or hopefully he gets hit by a bus…

OP…if i found i phone i wouldn’t hesitate to take the sim out and keep it. Lord knows iv had a few stolen from me (not lost)

I lost my brand new iPhone at a bar a few months back. I’m sure somebody picked it up and did the same thing as OP. I didn’t blame anyone other than myself because I should have treated it with more care. I wasn’t pleased, but there are consequences to actions. If you put your shit down somewhere in public, don’t be suprised if somebody else picks it up.

Besides, it’s just a fucking phone. Phones, keys, wallet…It’s all just stuff.

This thread is a parody. Lots of people got fooled.

Losing stuff is something I do not wish upon anyone. I think it’s a curse with me because I have lost 4 (yes 4) Ipod videos. I lose my keys almost daily, bank cards, wallets, you name it. It’s frustrating, and I think the last time I cried was when I lost something. It’s hard because no one intends to lose stuff, but it happens. I think back on all of these times and whenever someone would return my belongings, I would feel like there was hope for this world. Even a small act like returning a valuable item can have a significant impact on someones life. HOnestly, I don’t see how you can live with yourself morally. Fucking a dudes wife is one thing, but taking his phone? Come on man.

Oh please I’m sure you’re all saints in here. Someone lost a cell phone and he found it. La di da Who gives a shit.

Hey i found 40 bucks on the street in the city not too long ago, guess im an asshole for not asking the locals if they lost 40 bucks. Fucking hypocrites.
