I don’t see the problem, why don’t they just stop hiring non-catholics then the church can be assured the employees are only using their insurance for catholic approved services.

Why can’t Protestants force their dogmas (allowing birth control, for example) on Catholics?

Um, if a Catholic works outside of Catholic organization, receives insurance, and that insurance covers birth control, then birth control is already allowed in the plan despite an individual Catholic’s belief.
[/quote]
Exactly! So what’s the big deal about Catholic organizations following the same plans? It doesn’t mean they have to use it!

Because it’s a Catholic organization, instead of the non-catholic organization.

Well, sure. They could have decided to not hire at all, and hired someone more grateful.
To hell they should. Buy it on your own.
What kind of rambling nonsense did you just vomit onto this thread? These are OUR associations. Our hospitals, schools, and orphanage. Run as OUR religious associations, tied to OUR faith and OUR community. Who these institutions hire, help, or what they offer, to those outside of OUR beliefs, is OUR charitable prerogative. I’m sorry your…ahem, community…can produce no equivalent. That it’s so bankrupt that you’d want to use the power of the government to piggy-back on–no, hijack–OURS. Too bad, we aren’t complying. No way, no how. Religion involved in politics? You’re the mini-tyrant wanting the power of government to dictate what we have to offer in OUR benefits, at OUR institutions, when a perspective employee accepts OUR offer.

Then go start YOUR OWN country! MOVE to Ireland! Move to Vatican City! WTF? You’re not special, you know. You are not a snowflake. Conform or GTFO.

That’s not reason enough.

No, you leave. Our forefathers, the founding fathers of this nation, would’ve directed you to the nearest ship had you suggested the government had any business COMMANDING a religious association as to what it HAD to offer. Heck, regardless of religious association (or lack of). Luckily for you, we’ve got planes now. Take your tyrannical ideas somewhere else and leave us free god-fearing folk to OUR nation.

It’s all the reason some armchair quarterback, and her bankrupt communal associations, deserve. Be grateful, with a dose of humility, we provided the hospital. That, or get your atheist, wickan—or what the heck ever–pals, to go in with you on starting up and maintaining shelters, hospitals, orphanages, and soup kitchens. If you folks used even a quarter of the energy actually doing such things on your own, instead of using it to lobby the government to rule over us through new and phony ‘rights,’ you might have accomplished something by now. We can not and will not comply. Live with it.
