There are only four similar idiot-threads made by Steveo(“For Born Again Christians Only”, “Jesus or Burn”, “Post Here To Accept Jesus Christ”, “to All The Unbelievers”) right now.
Compared to the invisible Bikers and Rap Lovers threads, this isn’t so much- guess you’re right, ZEB.

I’m certainly not a born-again Christian and I am usually offended by people who try to push their religions on others, but I really am puzzled by the nastiness that’s being directed toward steveo.

I mean, it’s not as though he’s hijacking threads devoted to other topics; he’s just creating threads about things he wants to talk about. Because they happen not to be things that I have much interest in talking about, I tend to avoid them. Why can’t the other “non-believers” :slight_smile: do the same?

As for whether this has any place on a bodybuilding forum, couldn’t that question be asked about the Politics forum in general? Also, isn’t it better that steveo post these things on a forum that doesn’t appear on the main page?

Good questions. Sounds like most of these guys are people who would also complain about the trash on TV, but then never change the channel. I think they secretly like Steveo and that they feel guilty about something and he brings that out in them. If this wasn’t the case they would just not post on these religious threads.

Yea, I agree, this whole thing is starting to remind me of a bunch of women trying to verbally denigrate this guy.

If steveo5801 wants to write posts about God what’s the harm. Are you guys that insecure that you can’t take a little diversity?

Wow. Interesting. I generally have not posted,time constraints ect. But I would often read and scan through this section of the forums. I would often read vroom’s responses. He would slowly,methodically and articulately defend his position or come up with an interesting new angle to the topic.(And rub his chin) But we have just seen the topic that finally made him lose his cool. “TUBE STEAK…!” Interesting.

Your last point is a great one. "Freedom of speech is not just for someone who wants to say “f**k you.” Looking at their responses, however, it does appear that that is exactly what they are saying. I have the right to come on a thread to denegrate you because you had no right to start the thread in the first place.

More to the point – why is anyone who is not a Christian posting on a thread that says “For Born Again Christians Only?”

I call “troll” on everyone of you according to Vroom’s definition of the term “troll.”

So according to Vroomlogic, every troll should be thrown off the site for so doing.

For those that honestly don’t understand the annoyance at Steveo, and it not because he wants to discuss religion (because that is NOT what he is trying to do), read the entire “Sad State of Affairs” thread.

I had read it.It kind of sounds like the old guys at the local bar when when a bunch of new/young guys take over their scene. It used to be strictly their domain.(I couldn’t think of another way to say that. I know it sounds rough. Sorry)
