Unfortunately no, covid happened. If I was going there I’d get soft shells, short ribs, and shrimp/grits - post pics if you do!

If anyone wants to make that beef candle for a keto date or something, here you go.

THESE ARE THE BEST!!!

One of my grandparents’ former students owns a farm that raises soft shelled turtle. They get 3-4 each year as gifts and we make soup… too good… The best ones are the ones with eggs

Oh, I was talking about soft-shell crabs.

Turtle is pretty dope though.

Smothered pork loin chop, with new potatoes, peas, and beets from the garden. Also pulled a couple of fresh green onions and made lazy peach cobbler for dessert.

From my log: the second of two tomahawks I cooked on my vacation. Both turned out incredible.

Made popovers. Didn’t need a lot of ingredients, and I put butter, cinnamon, and syrup over them. Made them in my air fryer. Took 10 mins, boom. Done.

As simple as they are, I wanna brag about my hotel room chicken tacos that I made with a 4" griddle

Shakshuka, tasty cheese instead of feta, buttered toast with avo. French Press coffee (plunger broke making this coffee, you can see some grinds in the coffee lol)

I like your style - Feta is a pretty rare thing for me to put on a dish, and while I get the rationale behind adding feta cheese to shakshuka’s particular flavor profile, I have always chosen not to add it. Now that I’m thinking about it, I bet some crumbled goat cheese would have the same consistency as feta but taste better.

I made some stuff. Spring ravioli, asparagus with a crispy egg, tuna tartar, crab boil, ravioli, and grilled filet ends.
