Blueberry muffins. Eggs, vanilla, maple syrup, coconut flour, butter, lemon, baking soda, salt and blueberries. Awesome with black coffee.
My favorite ingredient!
Found these this evening. I’m torn between omelets and scrambled eggs. First thing my boy said was “Yeah! Now we can have eggies?”
I like to experiment with foods a bit, like: Ghoulash + chinese flavoured rice + veggies & meat was really good OR chinese flavoured rice with beef and ale sauce is really good. Also, mixing a really good mild to moderate curry paste with something much, much hotter like Phal or Vindaloo can be really sexy. A good hybrid mix always gets the chopper up!
Also, chilli gravy with a lil bit of syrup and give next sweet edge.
Omelet with saute’d chanterelles and maple smoked ham-
a little saute…
a little egg…
some more of the other stuff…
fold and provolone…
Voila…
I’ve definitely been needing some practice on omelets. I tend to bust them up and end up with a pile of scrambled what ever it is I was trying to accomplish.
Well done.
Since aren’t too busy with stomach issues to write this post I’m guessing you identified the chantrelles correctly.
Oh yeah. I’ve been picking them from that patch for about 10 years.
Oh shit, I’m finally famous!!

That looks awesome. Just like my Gram used to make.
I do not like them at all if they aren’t cooked in crushed tomatoes. Those steamer or pressure cooker thingies just ain’t right.
Pulled pork and beef with Stubbs and a blend of spices that made it epic. Don’t normally eat chips but for bacon horseradish Herr’s I’ll make an exception. Corn. Dessert was a fruit concoction with blueberries, strawberries, rasberries, cream cheese, cream and maple syrup.
French press? Chris is getting classy on us.
And I only drink organic coffee, too. Closet hipster, I guess.
But yeah, I’m the only one in the house who drinks coffee, so it’s just easier. The French press is pretty quick and I like that it’s just glass and metal so I can stay away from heating plastics like Keurigs or whatever pods. Can’t have BPA and whatnot attacking my inner workings.
As the dish doer of my house, I like your style. The eggs and veggies look darn good too.
