Hi friends,
I would like to start a cautionary thread regarding food poisoning.
Last Tuesday I consumed some sweet and sour chicken from an asian bakery for lunch, only then to later to suffer from sickening cramps, explosive vomiting and general nausea. For the next 3 days I had lost all appetite, lost about 5kg in weight and had to cease training. I suppose it serves me right for eating such crap for lunch anyway.
Anyway I would like to start this thread to give you the opportunity to share your food poisoning stories, tips and warnings.
Go.

Cook for yourself and buy from a well known supermarket that sells good quality food.
What Rattler said. ^
You often hear people talk about how sick they were after eating at such-and-such, or they say the had a 24-hour virus where they vomited and or had diarrhea for a full day. It’s not always the food that’s the problem.
A few years ago some study was done on the quality of food sold by street vendors in Philadelphia.
Not surprisingly, the majority of those tested contained FECAL BACTERIA!
An estimated 10,000 cases of food poisoning per year are actually attributed to FECAL BACTERIA. That means food handlers are NOT washing hands after taking a dump.
Don’t touch Indian food… ever! Not only is the food god awful shite, here in the middle east the Indian lads clean their holes with their left hand, & then proceed to prepare your food. Indian food + shitty hands preparing the food is not a good combo. I’ve been food poisened 5 times in 4 months since I came to the middle east.
