I’m hoping to follow the ectomorph diet in the physique clinic, and I can get all of the food products prescribed. However, I don’t have access to any supplements except for some crappy quality whey protein.
So the question is–with Metabolic Drive comprising nearly half of his diet, I’m at a loss for what foods could replace it and still provide the similar nutrient profile. Of course, I could square the macros pretty easily, but I know that simply getting the right number of carbs, fats, and proteins necessary is usually not enough.
Does anyone have any experience with this or any suggestions?
Honestly I would just stick to good animal protein with green veggies. The fiber helps slow down digestion and a good serving of meat should be around 40-50 grams of protein. Those are the two main benifits that Metabolic Drive is supposed to offer, 40grams of protein and slow steady diegestion from its blend different proteins.
Cheaper whey protein can still be used to help increase daily food intake just remember that it will be absorbed and used by the body rather quickly given that it is usually whey only protein. Good supps can make dieting easier but if you dont have em you pretty much have to deal with whole food…
