Focus on the Essential

Look at those dips! Very, very nice work. I’m going to have to pick up my game to stay ahead of you on these.

Love the shoes. I’d absolutely wear those.[/quote]

And I would absolutely NOT wear them, unless I were walking into the bedroom. Damn, I would trip and fall in those. I just did not get the gene for sophisticated walking in high heels!

And your dips! Oh my gosh. When did you start your efforts to overthrow Kimba, the dip queen? Very impressive.

And great pics with the babe.

Joe: I know - she has the perfect gerber baby smily face.

Snap - then you need to wear the shoes and be carried to bed still wearing them. As for the dips I am trying to get a crown for myself but there is no way in hell I can get your pull up crown. Kimba did however thoroughly kick my ass yesterday and has therefor most certainly not been overthrown…yet  Joe is doing a fine job of inspiring me.

cutest baby halloween costume ive seen this year! the face def makes the costume in this one!

Look at those cheeks!! Your kid is adorable. Get her in commercials!

Just for reference I’m the picture-crazy Auntie. No kids of my own.

Not sure the poor overworked parents have time to lug her around from casting to casting but I totally agree she has the cuteness clowny factor.

Your niece if adorable! Love the Halloween costume!

Your foods are to die for. I’m glad and sad that I’m not in a French speaking, French cooking sort of place.

I think we need to get you and Kimba together and have a dip-off…followed by lots of too rich food and lots of alcohol.

awwww! I love that you call your niece “cookie face” squeeee

I call mine “dollbaby”
Only she’s not really a baby anymore :frowning:

Greneys - I would graciously allow Kimba to kick my butt dipping and then serve her something decadent for supper for the chance to do a PW roundtable.

Hallowed: cookie-face = round, adorable and eatable cheeks. Cookies are one of my favorite foods and she has already become one of my favourite people. And so it is so.

fought every instinct to hibernate today. It.was.hard.

bench:
95lbs 1x8,
115lbs 1x5
125 1x5 some old guy I’ve seen around the gym wanted to lift in so I graciously agreed
135lbs 1x2 - helped with the last rep
125lbs 1x4 - helped with the last rep
115 1x5

I hate it when skinny know-it-alls give me advice. He was saying I should only rep in the 3x8 range. I tried explaining but I quickly saw I was going no-where fast. so I just moved on to something else. it’s what I get to try to be friendly.

kroc rows with plenty of body swing
50lbs 3x8

facepulls - tried the new stack the gym bought and the weights sound too weird…
50lbs 1x12 - way to easy. makes no sense
70lbs 1x12
90lbs 1x10 ok like wtf?

cable tricep pushdowns
90lbs 1x5 - I’m going to stick to the old stack in the future.
70lbs 1x8
50lbs 1x10

close-grip cable row on old stack
85lbs 1x8
95lbs 1x5
105lbs 1x3
85lbs 1x8

chins and pullups with 2 bands 3,2,1…blah…

barbell bicep curls
40lbs 3x8

form felt loose and ugly. attitude went pissy after encounter with stupid. somedays are about having the guts to show up and stick around.

I’m going to go ahead and second this. Good job putting in work even when you felt yucky.

Why would someone give advice without knowing/understand your goals? Training design is different depending on goals. And there’s no such thing as one-size-fits-all. That type of encounter would really, really annoy me.

Good job showing up.

Call him cookieface. I bed he’d leave you alone

I wanna steal your niece. I looovvee babies!

This time of year sucks for training. Takes me ages to get going in the morning, not because I’m tired but because I don’t want to leave the warm sanctity of my room. Good on you for going anyway.

I’m not a heel person either. I love the way they look but I hate the way they feel. I used to wear high boots sometimes but I’ve lost the ability to tolerate them. Wore some to my last work Christmas do and ended up walking up the road in my stockinged feet, carrying the boots because they hurt so much. It was raining but the cold wet pavement was preferable to the pain.

Good job sticking it out and working out.

I hate when people talk to me on the occasions that I do workout in a actual gym, so I normally walk around with the “I Will Kill or dismember you if you talk to me Glare”. My husband says I need to work on my people skills. Oh well, this is why I workout at home in my own area I can’t be trusted to stay sane around the average run of the mill idiot.
