Tested them out…elbows got pissed off. Sticking to lying tricep extensions with bands and kneeling triceps extensions.

!?
Using elbow sleeves? Sure you did them right? Pre-existing tendonitis?
Kneeling tricep extensions… What, do you mean cable-overhead (while kneeling with elbows on a bench or while bent forward) ?

Excellent exercise. Added more mass to my triceps than any other.
Unfortunately, I blame them for contributing to my awful elbow tendinitis last year.
Did you get acute elbow pain the first time you did them? Or was it something that kinda crept up on you?
Crept up. But I foolishly ignored the pain for weeks
Ah yes. Why do you people do shit like that
before it became unbearable. Took me 8 solid months to recover.
I’d love to perform them now, but fear is a motherfucker.
lol

Well, they’re one of the few extension exercises that don’t bother my elbows (never had tendonitis, just the way I’m put together I guess).
(again to progwizard: Did you use a narrow grip on an EZ bar, or a wide-grip or even a straight bar? Did you go very heavy with the loads or high in volume?)

Had elbow tendonitis many years ago. I used a shoulder width grip on a very light straight bar as have no access to an EZ curl bar.
Kneeling tricep extensions ~ - YouTube I like this exercise as I can get a painfree tricep stretch. Banded version is great too.
I do them, I feel like I can press more.Get up on my shoulder blades and drive up the weight.

I’ve discovered that doing them with a narrow grip with an EZ bar is really the only option to avoid pain… And then they work beautifully. Well, stick to the Scott Extensions then.
Kneeling tricep extensions ~ - YouTube
Those I call Scott Extensions as Larry Scott polularized them, among with the Barbarian Brothers (later on). Yep, like them, too.
I like this exercise as I can get a painfree tricep stretch. Banded version is great too.
