Gunz n Grip yada yada

Iso hook grip holds at just 315 and my pinky and ring knuckle calluses were actually the painful part. Googling callus removal and then doing it are on a very short todo list today.

Also I have an addiction to caffeine.

It goes in waves, I will go a few weeks where I rarely finish a cup of coffee to a week where I slowly peak into a day where 4 cups of coffee, 2 monsters (calorie free of course), a diet coke then a huge starbucks coffee will leave me feeling zombie brained the following day and I realize I have a problem. I then acknowledge the problem and take a day or 2 off from caffeine then start the cycle over again.

Welp yesterday left me feeling half asleep today after 2 strong cups of coffee and a monster. I will ween today and start tomorrowish. I really want a diet coke with a mountain of popcorn while watching football in my PJs all day with wifey. And I can stop anytime I want to :smiley:

Pretty sure the caffeine has been hindering my sleep patterns.

I feel you brotha.Usually every 2 weeks or so the past 2 months I drink so much coffee for for 2-3 days that my stomach becomes a mess and I stop for 2-3 days.Thankfully it doesn’t mess with my sleep

MULTI MENTAL WALL!!!

Felt very tired and foggy this morning so I cracked and had a Coffee…then a pre-squat/dead monster. It helped a ton. I will limit myself to 2 coffees a day the rest of this week then next week have a day or 2 with no caffeine.

I want to be shredded but I have a strong fear of losing strength (da bump tssst). A lot of those fears were alleviated today in the gym.

After the gym I felt like jello so I know my plan of Heavy Squats, Heavy Deads and then BB volume work is over ambitious especially on a cut.

Physique Mini Peak

Planning for a peak some time between Thursday and saturday. For the diet I am lowering fat and cutting out all seasonings (except salt), diet sodas, monsters and eggs (to lower fat) for this week. I will not be doing any water manipulation other than drinking a ton of it.

For programming I will also be adding in some more body building work into my program going forward as kind of a break/support to powerlifting and also to add in some conditioning.

GAMEPLAN:
Chicken thighs then carbs filled out with:

-Today Rice veggies MACROS 260-199-378-41

-Tomorrow and repeated until ready Potatos (my super food) MACROS 2500-205-335-44

Day Before: My top secret waist shrinking weapon that is not top secret and even if it were I would share it anyways: all liquid diet. I use 3 liters of milk and 4 scoops of protein powder. Another trick is to drink 2 of your liters of water that day with a lemon squeezed into it (1 AM 1 PM). If this is your first time just do 1 PM. You can google why that works. MACROS 2000-193-164-56

Front Squats Worked up to 275 but was worn down and out and having a ton of issues with my rack (tee hee).

Today I got 585 to my knees and just stopped, then I looked at myself in the mirror and realized I had to keep pulling so I did, I finished the lift and on my descent my grip broke a bit. I was so focused on my grip I forgot how to dead or something. OK HUGE MENTAL BLOCK YIPS with hook grip. It fucks up my whole dead routine. I get thinking about death grip then I think about how bad it will hurt then I set back and shoulders and hesitate because it will hurt then I forget to stay tight then I retighten and then I dont explode off the floor…basically a full on case of wussitis sets in. Mental note to future self, ITS GONNA PINCH DONT BE A PUNK GRIP AND RIP!!! That should fix the problem.

To begin, the most gym rat thing I ever heard. A Buddy is a little brokeish but he has a protein container filled with coins he will use to pay his gym membership. I really hope he takes the whole container in there and I can have a photo.

My hands hurt like hell and I am starving but all I have left is 3 boiled chicken thighs. Lets hope salt is filling. And I am covered in chalk…body glitter of powerlifters and I am tooo damn tired for another shower.

Standing Military with a bar (normally seated dums but I feel this is actually leading to some of my imbalance). Worked up to a very tough 3*5@155, no giggling!!! LOL giggle if you want.

Then a new gym buddy Doug was coming in as I was finishing and said he was doing deads sooo obviously I took my shoes off and we did deads.

Worked up to 415 I think but most importantly I got redemption. @365 I remembered my little note to myself so I went speed. I had been moving normal speed just warming up but this was so fast Doug actually commented. I think I am mostly past this mental block. Also I helped him with his deadlift, primarily an issue with his grip not being spaced correctly (mixed) probably causing sciatica and also his hips coming up a bit too high to the point it was a straight leg deadlift.

I think the military pressing strained something around my collar bone and shoulder joint. I didnt notice it until the deadlift session was over but I doubt it was deadlift related.

Yea…it must of I was cleaning the weights from the floor and I wasnt super careful with putting them back down. Well when healed they back in the rotation and will be done from a rack. Thanks!

Really hungry and drained lately but I am finding motivation because after this I am done with BB cuts for a while. I am telling myself that the difference between where I am at right now and where I want to be is drugs. Truthfully it probably is to more than a small extent. After this I will just maintain BF% and do my powerlifting thing with some KODs mixed in.

This morning these feelings caught up with me in the gym but luckily Matt showed up out of the blue who said he was training back and since I skipped out half of my pull work out that matched up perfectly.

I was skipping the gym tonight but stupid friends to keep me going and getting my shit done. David is going through a break up…like as of last night she left so I will find what it takes to get in a KOD tonight with him. We will bury ourselves in our work and the gym…because he is going through a break up and I am fat and have bills to pay LOL.

I guess I will stuff my face and try to take a nap.

And since it is my last cut like in forever I am going to manipulate water a bit. Will water load today and tomorrow until cut off at 5pm. Nothing major but if I am doing this, I am doing this.

EDIT going so hard I just spent 20 minutes tanning by the pool and in the future when getting to the lack of energy all day no matter what phase of diet TRAIN IN THE EVENING after all meals have been consumed saving just a few pieces of meat for bre bed…also only train once a day.

Woke up 230am…I was sleeping by 8pm and had a nap in the afternoon so no sleep lost but I was hoping to sleep a few more hours. These calories make me want to sleep more frequently then I end up fully awake at 230am. This will work even better, more food intake before my last gym session and more time on the fast.

89cm waist buuut 90.7kg so just under 200. Chest shoulders and lats looking full striated and awesome. It makes me worried I will look better Friday after I carb load post pics on thursday.

These calories I am actually thinking the issue might be caffeine crash. Which would be awesome because if I get that under control I could maintain a cut for much longer. Time will tell.

12-12-12-8-6 so I got the 50…just 90 pounds lighter. I would have tried more but minor back pinch so didnt push it and those reps were preferable anyways.

Hook Grip Iso holds up to 365 and my thumb skin moved a ton…pretty sure I have a thick blister because when doing hook grip the skin moves and creates a ridge but after a day or 2 it goes back to being flat and just sensitive.
Dont tell anybody but then I did some decline reverse crunches…I did them yesterday too. I feel so gross.

finished all my liquids by 205pm. I feel fine, just hungry. Veins are starting to come in. Stomach sinking in and abs looking good.

I definitely should have cut another week but life happens, I might still. I learned a lot from this. I will try this again next year over a much longer period of time. People will hate me, I will tell them to fuck off, I am gettin shredded son!! A big reason is after so many years of cutting my cutting stamina is quite poor. I have literally been cutting for 5 years never knowing I needed drugs to get close to where I want. #goFKyourselfFITNESSscam

Going forward I will be doing a permanent offseason powerlifting style with some more movements for balance. Diet I might go IIFYM or I might just go straight feels. I will make sure to stay under 95kg. Ideally I still want to be 90kg it just isnt in the cards to maintain that right now.

Physique wise I noticed despite having no biceps my arms are quite large in relation. Delts too. I have no chest, legs or calves LOL.

AM WOKE UP 88.5kg and 85cm waist…I measured both 3 times. Side butt vein quite long along with all the others. I don’t think the lemon wate did a lot this time around for a couple of reasons. 1 I didnt eat enough and 2 I have that beverage quite often so my body is probably used to it.

To recap for some people who want to look their best for a day pool party:
-3 Days out high carb low fat 500 calorie deficit TONS OF WATER
-2 Day out Potatoes low fat 500 calorie deficit TONS OF WATER and 1 of those liters with 2 lemons in it
-Day Before Liquid diet (protein shakes and milk)
-Stop eating or drinking anything by 2pm to 5pm until you arrive and get that shirt off for a few minutes

For a night time pool party…lighting is gonna suck, keep your shirt on and hope they have a deadlift platform :smiley:

Learnt list:
*Diet Soda on a cut acts as bad or worse than regular
*Potatoes are great and rice veggies can be as good as long as no condiments
*Rice veggie combo probably better to keep energy levels high…or maybe something is off with my macro counts with potatoes
*NO CONDIMENTS, maybe they are calorie free but it causes something that stalls or maybe just masks progress
*My arms are large…but no biceps
*training biceps will give me veins (kind of DUH moment)
*Quality is as important as quantity (always knew this but fell into some bad habits trying to maintain cuts)
*Carb cycling is probably what I should be doing for a cut
*next cut will be keto +carb cycling
*next time longer water cut and will eat some supa dry carbs p until night before
*caffeine will help with the low energy levels but it comes at a price (sleep patterns fkt)

it is a natural laxative, the first couple times it is a fairly powerful one in my experience. It has some benefits for nausea and heartburn too.

Felt pretty bad yesterday in the gym, instead of drinking a few liters of water after pics I had a snickers and 8 other pounds of sugar. This feels like a mild hangover, STILL LOL. Not sure how people do that and then compete 24 hours later…of course they probably would have gotten right into the water and gatoraid.

Taking today off from the gym for Deadlift PR attempt tomorrow. Will continue to carb/water load. Will try to stay out of the office as much as possible to keep the back feeling great.

TOMORROW Grip Evaluation:

-Most likely will use hook until it feels shaky and go to straps. A comp PR (in a non comp when I will probably never actually compete and if I did compete I would probably go to mixed) is not as important as my back not getting tweaked.

Also tomorrow is looking to be rather disappointing considering I have had this date circled for a few weeks for this purpose to be honest. I am still not feeling great so I will keep my mood cautiously cautious.

DEADLIFT 635!!! Hook grip!!! And then promptly kicked out of the gym for being too strong.

Maybe it was for being too loud. A lot of drama from the owner tbh who has no idea what a gym is.

Owner dramas but then she told us about a different gym that will let us “bang weights” but it is crossfit so 405 is the max which tbh I want to be benching that by the end of the year so I would all but have to give up powerlifting. They did have plenty of strongman stuff which I think would be even more fun to try. Other option would be to buy my own plates but that is looking like it will cost 25k pesos. I do have aspirations for my own gym but I am not even sure in what city yet.

I am a rebeliever in the effects of preworkout. Psychotic has me wired still about an hour later!!! Video coming probably monday.
