Flat Top Haircut Rollcall

So, I’m probably going to get a flat top tomorrow. For the past year I’ve had short hair. For the 11 years before that, I had long hair. During the past year I’ve slowly been getting my hair just a little shorter. In the past couple of days, I’ve really taken to the idea of getting a flat top.

Anyway, how many flat tops do we have around her?

Have had one for 5 yrs.
It works for me.

Izzie

Posers. THIS is a flat top. Anything less is just…Kid’s Play.

Not a flat top, but a buzz cut here.

Horrible pun prof.

I doubt most of the 18-24 year crowd here even knows who they are, not that even matters. Mindless ramble over…

I try a flat top every so often. I cut my own hair, and have for about the last 7 years. I save myself about 300-400 dollars a year as I need one once a week. As for the flat top, it is too high maintenance here in the desert and I just keep it short, maybe Ill do it again once I get back state side and have mirrors that are bigger than 5X7in so I can see what Im doing.

its only a fucken haircut you idiot. Do what you like why should it matter to us what you get

I’ve had one for about 14 years. Love it. The problem is finding a barber that can actually do it. Don’t go to the mall or some place where women get their hair cut. A bad flat top is a horrible thing. Before you commit and end up with a jacked-up Kid’n Play hairdo, find someone in your town with a flat and ask them where they get it cut. Trust me, lots of barbers claim they can cut a flat top then give you some sort of weird, uneven buzz cut. Ask around first. Also, flat tops are very expensive. They take longer to do properly, but once you find someone who can do a good job and you like the look just pay whatever they charge.

I thought X’s little play on words was a Class Act.

Wow, read my post again. Where do I ask for approval or opinions? The flat top is rarely seen these days. I was just curious as to how many people had them.

Thanks for the advise. I figured anyone with clippers could give a flat top. I’ll look for some barber that is old as dirt and could do cuts in his sleep.

The girl that cuts my hair now used to be the manager for all the barber shops on Camp Pendleton. She only about 25, but she knows what she’s doing. My most important peice of advise is to ask someone who has a nice flat top. If you’re at WalMart and see a nice flat, just go up and ask where they get it cut.

I just buzzed my head with the 1/4 guard.

The only person to pull off a flat top was will smith. Look in the mirror, if you are not will smith, then get a haircut to signify that you are indeed in the year 2006.

Remember when Metallica and all the other long hair bands… or just long hair guys… were cutting their hair short? That is when I grew mine long. I don’t care what year it is. I cut my hair for ME.

Do you get to join clubs, like the mullet guys regrouping to form the National Mullet Association?

Not that they’re anything wrong with that :stuck_out_tongue:
