I’m fairly confused about Flameout. I used the search button up top, but I didn’t find any answers. What exactly does it do? Does it just keep your body healthy? Does it help you grow muscle? Why does everybody seem to think it is a very important part of someones diet?
I always thought it was supposed to help you not get any serious problems with your body. I read up on its product description, but it only made me think that it keeps your body from inflamming.

Its vital to the body on a whole lot more levels than that. Remember omega-3s are called ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS for a reason:)

Yeah I read that, still seems to me that its just something that keeps you from heart diseases or tendinitis.[/quote]
Once you’ve been around weight training long enough you’ll see that injuries are one of the biggest limiting factors, so anything that can minimize them will go a long way toward helping you reach your goals.
^okay, thats one opinion. I appreciate that, but I would also like others opinion on whether I should be buying Surge or Flameout. I read around the fourms some more, and people keep talking about Flameout. I know its important for your health, but would it be better then Surge for adding muscle?
IF your goal is muscle gain and your forced to choose between a decent protein powder for PWO or a decent quality fish oil then pick the protein powder
Injuries probably aren’t that much of a concern for you. Inflammation of your tendons in particular is only going to be a concern if you’re working out very very regularly for a long duration and lifting lifting some serious weight.
Fish oil is also excellent for cognition, it’ll help give your brain function an edge if you’re studying hard.
There are a bunch of studies out there proving the various benefits of fish oil. Fats are used in hundreds of different reactions within the body, as well as in structural components of the body like cell membranes. For this reason, there are a million various health benefits.
If you go to any lecture at uni on fish oil, they’ll go on forever about how much longer you’ll live if you take it regularly
BUT
You’re 16. The biggest benefit fish oil would have is to reduce your tendons getting inflamed, as well as promoting brain function and general wellbeing.
If you want to put on some muscle, getting either protein or PWO shakes is going to be a million times more useful for you.
All you should really be worrying about is
→ Buy as much turkey/chicken breast, steak, salmon steak tuna cans, eggs and cottage cheese as you can (first priority)
→ Get protein shakes to help up the protein
→ Drink Surge or make your own high-impact carb drink if you’re strapped for cash
