The horror part was where she ate the instant coffee straight from the jar with a spoon and washed it down with Pepsi. ![]()
I tried this once. Had 1tbsp. Screwed my stomach up and could not get out of bed for two days
Just go down. Freddy and Jason would be too busy fighting each other to notice you.
This reminds me of when my junior high school self tried the cinnamon challengeā¦
I confess I was never a fan of the first movie either. Freddy didnāt have his funny one-liners from the 3rd movie onwards.
Then I watched the remake and I wanted to go choke out the projectionist halfway through the movie because that would make as much sense as that steaming pile of crap.
Itās not very surprising - there are very few classic horror movies that actually crack the threshold of āgoodā, and perhaps none that are āespecially goodā - most of the nostalgia and hype surrounding them comes from being a child and seeing them when they were sporting decent visuals for the time. Going to bed after seeing the movie as a kid and actually being afraid to go to sleep just gives you a different feeling towards the movie. But it was never a good movie, IMO.
Halloween was always my favorite, anyway.
Yer what @flappinit said. Watching these now is not the same.
I actually thought Hereditary was legitimately good
Marianne was a great series too
Edit: I realize neither of these probably qualify as āclassicā
I have basically eaten nothing but chicken eggs, butter and frozen veggies for the past three weeks. Iām making chicken terriene. It has to be weighed down. I am weighing it down with a can of chicken
Make a bunch of quiche.
What Iāve been doing is poaching the chicken skinless the night before to take to class for lunch and dinner, and crisping up the skin and using the fat to cook eggs the next morning. The butter is for eating when Iām lazy/ tired/out of time and have calories left over
I havenāt watched the 3rd Freddy since I was 15. I stand by it being a good movie (6.6 on IMDB lol)
I liked the Rob Zombie remake of Halloween - that was a badass Michael Myers after the nonsense they served up for the modern sequels
You are probably right. As a kid your critical sense is not very well developed.
That reminds me of seeing the exorcist as a 10-11yo. Properly scared of that one, I was. (But then again, it is one of the greats.)
Have you seen the new one by the same director - Midsommar ? Kind of weird, but real spooky as well.
I got the tip to get NextDoor - itās like any social media app but for your neighbourhood only.
I was in tears reading through the stuff that gets posted - Iām completely addicted* Also Iām a little bit frightened of the people living around me and hoping this is just great satire.
*One guy has someone who leaves dog poop on his lawn and is threatening to track down and make an example of the 'despicableāperson.
Another is a wack job who thinks someone is stealing plants from his yard during the night and is trying to set up a vigilante group to find the culprit because the police wonāt take him seriously
Another is threatening to trap and fly to another state a cat that comes to his home at night and torments his cat through the window.
And it just keeps going on lol
I did indeed - liked that one as well but not as much as Hereditary.
Someone left a flyer on our door yesterday about a NextDoor group for our neighborhood. After reading your comment, I am legit scared to get it. I think I may continue to float along in blissful ignorance vis a vis the crazies in my hood.
So my kids have now started pointing out every guy they see in a tank top or some kind of athletic clothing telling me āyou could totally lift more than him!ā At first I was like hell yea, kids think Iām Superman
then I started to notice a pattern⦠everyone of these males is like sub 150lbs.
Itās not a huge win, but Iāll take it.
Confession:
Iām going to try and ālearnā hook grip. That is - Iām going to start using hook grip.
Welp, took my semi-annual tilt at the windmill aka the TRT subforum. Pretty sure itās still standing.
