Ehhh… at the moment I’ll stick with the check in thread.
The abs look sexy.

I confess I was creeping @ChongLordUno ’s Instagram and heard him talk and now everything I read of his is in his accent. Idk why I just assume everyone talks like a hillbilly (my accent). I found delight in this ![]()

good Italian cooks chop garlic and add it to sauces as late as possible (i.e. as raw as possible). also, I used to know a French bistro in London that served a saucisse aux lentilles that came with very finely chopped raw onion and garlic as a garnish and that was epic.
One of my old favorites was a tomato salad me & my sis used to make from our gardens- fresh diced tomato, garlic & onion, a bunch of basil, tossed/coated with olive oil and chilled for a few hours then served on toast.
Simple but awesome! Especially after I found a nice bunch of wild red garlic that was super potent.
2 training confessions:
- I’ve been doing “laissez faire” training and have noticed that my training has been much less intense (less sets, longer rests). This either means I’m really in a funk or that my default is to do less work
- I’m finding myself relieved that mum is limiting the amount of weight I have access to. For the first time since I’ve started lifting, I don’t want to deadlift

Time to turn into a body builder Ms Anna!
This isn’t a flame at all, but you sound depressed.
unironically, I have been doing more curls than in the past as a “filler exercise”
possibly. Hopefully will get better in a week when I get back to school
Training lifts lighter, with lower volumes, more bar speed and less rest between sets seems to work out way, way better for lifters with mental issues.
^ This. Some people just can’t do soul-crushing work day in and day out. I have maybe 1 or 2 brutal sets or sessions in a training block, and the rest is submax. I’ve made the best, most consistent gains of my life when I adhere to that.
If that’s what works for you, @anna_5588, then get after it.
@kdjohn @FlatsFarmer Thanks for the advice!
I have one more “free week” left before I head back to school and start an actual training plan.
This sounds fun. I might go for various EMOMs the rest of the week
Australian Mark posted a non-maximal deadlift plan inspired by his coach (who was a homeless guy turned all time world record holder) shortly before he transitioned away from here.
Lemme see if I can dig it up somewhere.
This one?
