Same man. Just found out they also have average Joe’s gym and globo gym from dodgeball. I’ll be ordering those as well.
Share the wealth my friend. We need links.
This company has the average Joe’s one as well.
I’ve noticed a bit of a paradox.
When scrolling Tnation, I see ppl squatting and deadlifting 400+lbs and I think “ meh, that normal”, but when I’m actually in a gym and I see someone squatting more than 2 plates, I think “wow, that’s a nice squat”
Everything is relative…
If I used the internet to set my expectations for reality I would be doing a LOT of buffering.
I confess I saw the Transformers cartoon movie listed on my YouTube recommendations and I watched the entire movie.
I better see a review in the Movies thread.
I don’t have much to say about the movie lol. It held up with time better than I expected. That’s about it.
Nothing can beat the sheer awesomeness that was Michael Bay’s Transformers 3.
Yeah, I confess I’m not being sarcastic here. One of the greatest action movies ever made IMHO. Watched it in the theater twice. Once in 3D, the other on a normal screen.
Come on, even if anyone hated it, you can’t hate some of the absurdist dialogue.
“It is Code Pink. As in Floyd. Darkside!”
I confess:
If you have any faith left in humanity you haven’t driven on the interstate in the rain.
Yesterday at the gym I saw a full on photo shoot going on. Multiple phones, multiple angles, setting weights up on bars/benches and never using them, just posing. Most definitely not competitor types… full on gym shark wearing DYEL’s. So much cringe.
In that same visit I saw a little mini monster CURLING 100lb dumbbells. Alternating curls at that. And with good form.
I looked this movie up last week to show my kids and I couldn’t buy if for some reason. No idea why I didn’t look at YouTube but this is going to occupy a night, thanks ![]()
I loved this movie as a kid so I am a little worried about viewing ![]()
It was even in HD. Watched it on my TV lol.
If I ever open a gym this kind of behavior will be banned in the membership contract.
Idk how these people kept a straight face. It was so cringe worthy. Definitely could use some of their self confidence though.
Happens at my gym from time to time. The funny thing is, the two actual bodybuilding competitors who come there - enormous guys - do it in a small tucked away corner where there’s a couple mirrors, or in the yoga studio when it’s not being used, and the guys who think they’re jacked but are just skinny are right up on the floor, taking up equipment. I just ignore it, although it’s pretty aggravating. I’ve only ever said anything to one kid, and that’s because he just popped his shirt off right in front of me and started posting for pictures halfway in my view of myself during DB inclines, which is one of those exercises i’ve always just done in front of a mirror, and form is way tighter that way. He was pretty young - I just said “Dude, put your shirt back on and get out of my view”, and some guy I’m cool with (who’s like 60 and is more jacked than both kids combined) starts laughing. The kid just mumbled something, put his shirt on, and walked away with his friend. I honestly haven’t seen him since. I didn’t want him to leave permanently, so I hope he just goes at another time and doesn’t do that.
Lol you probably scared him. Now he goes to planet fitness
Those guys sound worse than rack pull dude!
Does anyone get annoyed at ppl taking phone calls in the gym?
Doesn’t necessarily piss me off, just rubs me the wrong way a bit
I take phone calls in the gym but only if I think it’s important. I’m not a loud talker or anything and keep it quick but there’s plenty of calls I need to answer, and do, regardless of where I’m at.
Ahh makes sense. The person who triggered this post was neither keeping it quick nor speaking quietly
