There is this misunderstanding on what a coach actually is. People think they’re just some sort of information ATM: you go to them and they spit out a program. And, in turn, people go “Well Hell, I can do that!” and just sell Excel sheets to people and call it a day.

I blame it on the fact that kids don’t play as much sports these days as they used to. I know what coaching looks like because I’ve been coached before. But if you just grew up playing World of Warcraft, you have no frame of reference and can get hoodwinked.

Thats why ive always had a issue when someone says online… “X” is my coach and is training me.

Seems in allot of cases they have never physically meet and they might have had one zoom conversation.

I laugh when any male uses the term alpha. The whole theory behind the term has been debunked and it was further found that often the matriarchal wolf co leads the pack with the male…

Can even go into nerd territory - alpha releases of software are generally terrible.

Beta isn’t much better but has been slightly tempered by society, a little less rough around the edges.

My brother thinks he is an alpha - big truck, talks loud. I prefer being a sigma.

To borrow from the Tao Te Ching, if you have to announce that you are an alpha male, you aren’t an alpha male.
