Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 2)

No clue what you are referring to. That may be why.

Bulldog’s wife passed away yesterday. It is a very bad time for him and the bullpups.

Oh damn. That’s terrible. Prayers to him and his kids.

Can’t miss his log in the O35 section.

I confess I don’t read logs that make me feel tiny and weak.

I confess I’ve become a 5/3/1 shill.

Every time someone asks me on how to improve a lift, I plug 5/3/1

Oh shit!

I don’t really venture into the O35 section

Now would be the time.

It’s the ā€œPBJā€ of programming.

As, consequently, when people say they don’t know what to eat, that’s usually my answer. It’s hard to screw up and checks all the marks.

I confess I had a mini meltdown at Aldis just now.

Inflation is getting out of control.

The price of a pack of frozen broccoli went from $,89 to $,95 in two weeks and salmon is now at over $10/lb

The only consolation is that chicken drumsticks are still $1.16/lb at Costco

If that goes up substantially, I’m going to throw a fit

Also, bc supply chain issues, the part needed to fix the freezer still hasn’t arrived. Which means I can’t buy my veggies in bulk and will have to go to Aldis every week and watch the prices increase :sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob:

Considered canned veggies?

given the freezer situation, I think canned spinach might be the way to go for the forseeable future

Funnily enough, canned meats are surprisingly expensive

My bill for a family of 5 has gone up $75 a week in the last year.

Mine for a family of 3 is up $100/wk because California hates the middle class and loves inflation.

Gas price average (statewide) has gone over $5/gal. I miss cheeto man’s gas prices

I stopped checking his log because it was all so cryptic and every post you’d have to try and decipher what it meant, but this is truly sad.

Maybe I should reconsider having UCSD as my top choice grad school then…

I know. And he can be a grumpy old man on here sometimes. He has helped a lot of us at one time or another, and I feel it’s the right thing to do to pay our respects.

I want a PhD. ā€œTuitionā€ isn’t an issue since I’ll be getting a stipend.

UCSD Rady has an amazing program and 3 ppl who I’d really like to work with

I mean if it’s worth your time, why not? My .02 is that you can still get your PhD, but doing so on your own terms where it’s more of a ā€˜life goal’ instead of something you put your life on hold to achieve.

You don’t get any year of your 20’s back is what I’m saying. But I’m also anti-school (despite pursuing a BS in Computer Information Systems), so take it with a grain of salt :slightly_smiling_face:
