Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 2)

I confess that 99.9% of people who have uttered the phrase, “I’m not an asshole”, are, in fact, assholes.

I confess that I judge people that hurt their shoulders Overhead pressing a little bit. I’m just amazed at how many people blame the injury on the exercise.

My gym in less than 1 mile from my house, I can access it 24/7 when ever I feel like it. It has lots of equipment, admittedly most that I don’t use or probably don’t need, but it is there if I feel the urge to use it. At the time I go it is relatively quiet, no one talks to me , other than the pretty girl on the desk and all we say is G’day as I walk past. I never have to wait for equipment and when I am done it is easy to put things away without having to move multiple things around to make it all fit. It is also comparatively cheap, it cost $600 a year (Aus $) which when you consider the cost of racks, weights, bars, dumbells, sleds, and other equipment I would need to buy, I think it is cost effective.

It’s also really nice to not have to lug around 3,000lbs of gym equipment every time you move. Plus, if you don’t own a house - you probably want to use a commercial gym instead of slamming weights above the first floor lol.

I confess that I think geese are very creepy animals. They hiss and the look of the inside of their mouths bothers me.

I watch Dr. Binder on his YT channel Chiropractic Medicine. His videos are very relaxing in fact, I use his videos every night before a training day to help me fall asleep.

Sounds like you have the ultimate scenario. I rarely see someone mention how much they love their gym, but a lot of people like to mention how shitty theirs is haha.

Not to rub it in, but I get to smooch the pretty girl at my gym.

I really love my school gym

There isn’t enough equipment IMO, but I’ve made friends, almost got into a relationship, always have access to a barbell (If I go at the right time, ppl give me one) and it’s always clean

My neck was being a bitch two nights ago. Usually it gets better by afternoon but yesterday it just didn’t.

On a side note: if it is the pack, why is it causing me problems? I feel like the trap issue is something I should tough out.

@whang jordan shallow js great! I listen to his podcast. He doesn’t do satisfying cracking videos though

I confess I’ve thought about popping $10 on Planet Fitness just so I don’t have to lift in my (relatively) cold garage. I freaking hate the cold, and I’m old and it takes me forever to warm up in at 5:30 a.m. I ain’t got that kind of time to waste in the morning.

You don’t win any prizes for any of this. No confetti at the end, nothing.

So, go ahead. Do as you wish.

I workout early and have limited time too. I (quickly and badly) jump rope in a down jacket meant for alpine expeditions, and then take my workout sweatshirt out of the dryer piping hot and am usually good to go. It helps my washer/dryer are 8paces from the squat rack.

That said, you should spend that $10 just so you can get lunk alarmed.

You guys know why I have clients that have stuck with me for over a decade? When I say I’m going to do something, I’m gonna DO THE SHIT OUT OF IT. I don’t know if anyone remembers, but I posted before that I realized I had an ongoing membership on a site providing answers from certified experts and I was going to ask a shitload of questions.

My membership got cancelled, then restored without benefits for some time because, as cited from someone from their support team (there were several other reasons previously stated but this is currently this is the latest one):

This is on a page telling people why they should sign up:

Even though it’s been a little inconvenient, and other secondary reasons cited with regards to following certain rule were reasonable in principle after I pondered over them since I’m an old school, “street rules” kinda guy so I intend to follow the rules just like I respect this forum’s out of respect,

Also, since I’m a paying member, the clauses in the form I signed up are easily superseded by statutes in UK law which I’m familiar with, and I think there’re even more that work in my favour in the US. And one legal doctrine that’s more or less the same in both legal systems they relied on for some rules is so laughably inapplicable I almost suggested they find a new legal firm to handle their stuff, But I didn’t want to pursue it since they were pretty polite, senior staff took the time to reply to my emails and most of their experts are legit.

My confession is that I’m a little proud of myself getting my membership cancelled.

It’s like getting kicked out of an all-you-can eat buffet because you ate too much.

But it’s a pretty good site and way more than worth the monthly membership fees IMO since I saved myself a lot of money and hassle by just asking some experts questions there for certain things. I would encourage anyone who needs help for some things in the categories of the site to sign up for it but be prepared for some really stupid answers for some questions, in which you can request a second opinion. You’ll find experts whom are legit eventually and just request for them when you need something.

For example, I’ve said before that I am a complete imbecile with anything to do with DIY and hardware stuff. I can’t even use a bloody measuring tape properly. That’s how my brain is wired.

I was trying to change my ceiling lights from the older types with the ballasts and shit to LED ones. I want to do it myself because I want a specific type that’s only available overseas and I know BALLS about shit like this.

Went to a local hardware shop, showed the dude pics and stuff and he gave me the wrong advice and managed to sell me shit that I don’t FUCKING NEED which added up to over 50 bucks and people who do this shit for you are either booked up during this period or charge exorbitant prices that I refuse to pay for on general principle. The only other option was to go to a lighting store and buy one of their lights and they’ll install them for you but they don’t have the ones I want. Just one post to an expert on the site with written explanations and some relevant youtube links and I have enough info to get everything done.
