Set the bar on safeties inside a power rack. Use those box jump platform things (or even aerobic steps) to stand on. Measure the height from the regular setup and transfer that to your new setup inside the power rack. Use plates under your feet to adjust as necessary.

If thatās not an option, try literally grabbing the plates by the top handle for your reps. Longer ROM, more trap involvement.

If you have real collars (I believe theyāre called ābulldogsā) then you may be able to lock the plates in place, but it depends on the bar and the plate style.

I confess I had a covid booster shot booked today but, being the dumbass that I am, I went to the wrong facility because I had both my previous shots there and forgot I had booked a slot at a different one this time.
Then I found out that they could easily slot me in and I didnāt even have to queue up because I estimate only about 1/4 of the people who booked my time slot and slots in the range of 1/2 an hour before and after mine didnāt fucking show up. The whole fucking thing took less than 5mins.
Fuck. I booked the other facility online because all the slots for this one and those in the aforementioned timeframe were completely filled and this facility is an 8min walk away from my home. If most people arenāt idiots like me, theyāre fucking assholes.
