Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 2)

If not eating shit was the norm, your above statements would be 100% okay

I definitely get comments about my nutrition, but they’ve mostly been positive or ppl asking me for advice

Yeah. We used to have little conga lines like that at the bar too. What ever gets 'em through the day, right? :nose: :snowflake:

What do you do when the gf is the one with an actual disorder? Do you let him know this and tell him all you can do is tell him how to handle it? Do you recommend that he should try and get her to seek help?

I confess I’ve never regarded mental health issues as an illness until I met a schizo relative on my wife’s side. No one even believed he had a mental problem. They all thought he was just behaving like a dick.

I’m wondering if a psychologist would be a good add on to his psychiatrist. In my part of the world, psychologists in the medical field have only recently started to get taken “seriously” and private clinics have added them to their staff as in they have their own practices in their clinics. Before this, all they really did was take surveys and report to the psychiatrists.

I never considered Autism and ADHD things, especially as I had a few interactions with kids and adults with those diagnosis’ and, yes they were a little odd and/or poorly behaved but no big deal.

Then I encountered some people who were like in a different universe. They needed help, badly.

I just bought shrimp burgers and Mahi Mahi burgers there. I feel like it’s a multi level confession

Mahi mahi? Good to go.

Shrimp burgers? Man, I love shrimp, but that’s a hell of a combo haha. You’ll have to update us on how it tastes

I’ve made them, they taste quite nice if you don’t overcook, nice springy texture

This is going to be the 6th day of the week I’m eating chili. But with this chili I’m making tonight I’m gonna put a bunch of bacon in it.

Kudos to me for making chili instead of going out for fast food. Chili destroys fast food cravings. Chili for life.

I’ve been roasting chicken in my air fryer/toaster oven.
Idk why ppl would pay for fried chicken…

My roommate has an air fryer. Can you make a lot of stuff with it? It’s so small tho

Yes!
crisp up veggies, make crispy skin chicken, lamb chops, even some deserts, although those probably aren’t deep water approved

Just think of it as an electric fan forced oven that heats up quickly.

If you’re single it’s usually a better option than an oven (depending on your oven’s energy source and cost). Also if your oven can’t reach high temperatures

The thread about “safe” steroid use in the pharma section is my favorite thread in months.

I confess I’ve been checking the ingredients on the laundry detergent my wife bought that gave me skin rashes. The google algorithm leads me to a site by the EWG. Pretty good SEO for a non-profit. Apparently every fucking product has multiple chemicals in them which cause “reproductive issues” due to oestrogens purportedly being absorbed by the skin.

So, is there any safe way I can eat tide pods without getting the urge to tie my hair into pigtails? @unreal24278

Dude, I’m a registered dietitian and I cannot tell you how often someone sees me eating something that’s not a vegetable and says, “You can’t eat that, you’re a dietitian.” #soannoying

I had the stupidest dinner of all time tonight. My wife and I haven’t been to the grocery store this week and I forgot/was too lazy to defrost any meat so it was whatever was in the refrigerator that was quick and easy. I mixed all of this together in a bowl.

1/4 block buffalo cheddar
7 slices provalone cheese
3 turkey meatballs
3.5 links chorizo sausage
An avocado
9 Meat ravioli (the frozen kind)

Technically it’s a “cheat” meal because if the ravioli, but I need to get more calories in. Pretty sure it’s the worst cheat meal I’ve ever had.

I am thinking ahead and defrosting short ribs for tomorrow, though.

I’ve said it before, and I wanna say it again. lbs plates are hard to adjust to.

For example:
Consider a 25 lbs (11.3kg) plate.

The smaller plate next to it is 10 lbs (4.3 kg) plate

To make a 25 lbs plate equivalent when you are slowly adding weights to a bar, you have to use 10 lbs, 10 lbs, and 5 lbs plate.

45 lb plates is not the same as two 25 lbs plates.

In kg, the increments just naturally add up. if you want a 10kg plate, just add two 5kg plates. A 20kg (45 lbs) plate is exactly the same as two 10kg plates.

I have to use a plate calculator these days for 5/3/1. Getting a number like 195, 200, or 205 is just a pain in the ass… lol
