Yk what I could go for right now Pwn.
I wanna order a KFC family meal and eat it all by myself.

Idk why but I been craving that fake mac and cheese. It goes well with the chicken.

I went with cut up celery in walden’s chocolate sauce

I am taking my kid to Golden Corral tomorrow and we are doing fake Thanksgiving on Sunday, so life is gonna be pretty awesome soon.

I have absolutely eaten several whole buckets of chicken before, but no sides and peeled off the skin. I miss the KFC grilled chicken…

I haven’t been to golden corral ever since covid hit. My dad use to take the whole family there after church on Sundays.

One of the best things I’ve ever eaten was on a small island in Sweden. We walked past a beautiful smell of wood smoke, went to find out what it was, and there was some guy smoking fish in a cabin. Bought a chunk of fish and went back to where we were staying, in the bakery. Got some fresh black rye bread and cold beer.

Same sort of thing: French patƩ de campagne and saucisson sec, salad with endives and gherkins, good bread, red wine.

If this is a subtle dig at Canadians, I will fight you.

I thought yours was Monday?

The timing is amazing though. But we are celebrating the Cowboys game, haha.

And you are the one dude I won’t want to take up on the ā€œI will fight youā€, haha

Technically, yeah, but it’s a pretty even split between people who celebrate on the Sunday or the Monday.

Just pretend you’re Canadian and say you’re there to celebrate Thanksgiving. Observe the strange looks you receive.

My breakfast usually consists of organic whole milk, oatmeal, unsweetened cocoa powder and chopped dry roasted hazelnuts thrown in. Sometime I switch the hazelnuts for peanut butter.

We do? But why would we want to ?

Confession: I don’t know why but I feel so more much energetic/cheerful on sunny days compared to how I feel on cloudy days. I hate cloudy days, especially when it’s that ugly all white sky. I only like it when it’s stormy/grey and in the evening.

This is very common.

I confess that I absolutely love rainy days. The kind where you get soaked after one minute outside. It makes me feel like I shouldn’t have to do anything because it’s so crappy out. We had one like that last weekend and I pulled out the Super Nintendo and played for a little bit.

I hate sunny summer days M-F. Weekends are ok in my book though.

It’s fun to see how we all enjoy different weather and it means different things to us.

If it’s storming I’m usually working. I’ve sat at home for one decent storm in like 3 years and I was freaking out lol. I forgot what it’s like to sit helpless in your house and just wait and see. I’m normally outside IN IT and am distracted enough to not realize bad stuff is happening.

We were out working on one storm one time and out of nowhere it went from a 3 to an 11 with icing on top. It happened so fast and caught me so off guard I really didn’t know what to do. I kinda panicked and was trying to decide if I should get in my bucket truck or bust the window out of a building we were next too. Probably the most scared I’ve ever been at work and that’s saying something :joy:. We racked the trucks up and hauled ass out of there and by the time we got to a gas station to ride it out it was gone.
Wildest thing ever. Basically a little tornado right on top of us.

Completely agree. I love bad weather - storms, rain, snow, snow storms, and cool, misty days for both cozying up inside and long, soggy walks.

What region are you in? Do you have snow storms, too? I’m guessing you’re electric company? If so, you guys are my heroes. Really, whatever you’re out there fixing in bucket trucks in storms is probably something I appreciate that people are doing.

I ended up tarping a load in a tornado once. Prescott, AR. Kept telling them to hurry up and load the trailer. Nope, they got done about 10 mins before it hit. One of my 125lb lumber tarps was whipping straight out like a bedsheet on a clothline. Beat the antennas off my truck. Lightning. Torrents of rain. Etc…

After it was over I went in to get the paperwork and the guy was laughing and ask… didn’t you hear the tornado siren? I told him no, not over the howling wind. Then he laughed some more and I told him… if he would come out from behind that bullet proof glass I would whip his ass! And I meant it.

If you ever load at a place where the people are behind bullet proof glass… there’s a reason for that. They did that shit on purpose and thought it was funny, hateful bastards.

I have to admit when it rains or is stormy during the evening/night it is perfect for relaxing. It’s my favorite weather for watching movies or reading. But, when it’s in the morning or afternoon that is when it becomes annoying. It’s not fun when you have to drive nor is it fun when I have to go somewhere.

Bad weather did make my training sessions a lot more interesting though so it has its place. Last year during the winter it was 28 degrees windy and rainy. Me and my brother were out in the backyard deadlifting with the ā€œboiler barā€.

Ngl I kinda miss training outside. It was really fun during the winter. I felt like a maniac training in 20 degrees on my backporch.

South East!. Yerp on the electricity! I’m a lineman. We don’t really have snow storms but I’ve worked a couple ice storms at home and it was a blast!
Here is one of the very rare snow days from years ago lol

I completely forgot about that bar! I’m super happy you still have it!

Training outside in the winter is pretty badass, I have never and probably will never do that haha. Closest I get is in my garage, so no wind or snow thankfully.
