Honestly the bigger issue is the original statement: I don’t have an excuse. Sleeping in because a project was late and I had to stay up past bedtime is an excuse. So is being very sick (mild cold doesn’t count)
Sleeping in for the sake of it or because “I’m tired” is being lazy
The confession is that I want to sleep in
I guess the corollary is that I wish it would be okay to sleep in. Everywhere I look I get the message “wake up earlier, get shit done” or even when I’m told it’s okay, the people who excel are the ones who grind (either late nights or early mornings or both for that matter)
