Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 1)

Lol o.k.

Like I mentioned above my current mind set is complicated at the moment.

I know I’m just some online stranger, but if you need to exchange words with someone I have an email in my bio.

Bulldog - if you just plan to live longer then you won’t be in your midlife - and the crisis will be gone and you’ll be back to normal

This same logic applies if one were to plan to live shorter…awkward

I identify as a deadlift world record holder. Get away from my records!

Sounds like it’s time to buy a new piece of home gym equipment

Funny you mention that… yearly bonus check comes in Friday. Looking at getting a cambered squat bar and viking press handle from Titian.

Once I ask the wife that is…

I confess that I find the process of eating enough meals a complete pain in the ass. It’s not that I don’t like the food itself it’s just the actually sitting there cutting it up and shoveling it into my mouth. I really like having whole foods so don’t want to remove it and use a shake.
I wonder what grilled chicken, broccoli and sweet potatoes is like as a shake !!

SAME!! I finally understand the appeal of soylent.

I’ve found I have a bad habit of procrastinating eating

I am very consistent in my schedule (when work allows). To the point that people I work with know if I am 30 mins late for one of my meals. So there is little procrastination, it’s more once I start eating that the boredom sets in and it becomes a chore.

Try Huel, I like it much more than soylent.

I confess I pulled a trap bar deadlift triple out of spite

Mainly because, after last week, when I hit a 565 pull for a topset, I got this message on another forum

I got the message and the free advice last week, and just kinda blew it off. Wasn’t the first time I got helpful advice from a dude that didn’t quite understand what I was doing or why I was doing it.

And then, tonight, as I was working my way through some singles on max effort work, I got to that same weight, paced around for a second, and then thought

ā€œF**k that guyā€

And then pulled his max for a triple.

I’m too old to be that way, but thankfully I’m not too mature.

Your glutes looked a little weak on that last pull.

It’s not my fault that, after the halftime show, people’s expectations are unreasonably high.

Your hips came up before the bar left the floor and you know what they say about hips…

I took the opposite approach and went down to 2 meals a day.

Breakfast
8 eggs
Half a box of cereal with whole milk

50/50 if I have blueberries too or just the above

Dinner
8 eggs
6 total cups of broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower via microwavable bags.

Pros:
1 - get to still be a glutton and gorge each meal.
2 - being hungry between meals makes the bland dinner taste good.
3 - it works! Down 6lbs in 5 weeks.

Cons:
1 - 30+ minutes of constant eating each meal
2 - being hungry
