As long as you stand your ground and don’t allow them to divert from from the real subject in dispute no matter how much they try to goad you into it trailing away into another topic - this is their attempt to take control of the narrative - they’ll paint themselves into a corner eventually.
Once this happens, you can then spin any fucking thing you want about them and the audience will buy it. But don’t do it or you’re now the asshole. Just let them run.
Unless there’s money to be made, of course. Then anything goes lol.

I don’t even know him well but from what I can tell he’s too dignified and old school to do shit like this, I only do it because I’ve done this shit so much IRL it’s become second nature even in a non-work situation. And I’m not proud of it. It’s disgusting.
Fucking hell, I come here to gain some knowledge, get into some stimulating exchanges, criticize political shit I can’t do IRL, impart a bit of knowledge when I can, make stupid jokes I can’t make IRL, rant about movies and shit, get some deeper insights into stuff like religion, express some feelings I can’t display IRL etc.
I don’t want to do stuff like real thinking and shit that people actually fucking PAY ME to do.

Not to cancel-culture you, but I believe that in the purest sense of the term I am probably a SJW, though only moderately so. I don’t think of myself as closed minded, nor am I looking to win arguments at the expense of my integrity or anyone else’s.
I feel like you paint people who believe in…well, social justice…with too broad a brush when you group them and then assume lack of reason. Republicans are not Trumpian, unless of course they are. Liberals are not communists, unless of course they are. Libertarian’s are not violent white supremacists, unless of course they are. SJW are not assholes, unless of course they are.
@wanna_be suppresses discussion of the battles faced by the most vulnerable of us. This is no accident, it is straight out of the white supremacist playbook. It would be wrong to throw the word Nazi around but he sure is making it hard not to.
