Flame Free Confession III: Even More Flame Free (Part 1)

If that’s what she was saying I’d agree. But it’s really not. I applaud her for being environmentally conscious but she’s off the rails. Per her puppet master.

In what way?

Hey, at least she won’t have to worry about college admissions

imagine her resume:

Awards/accolades-
nominated for Nobel Prize

It’s shameful how she’s being exploited. Not that far leftists know shame.

Her parents are far leftists. You mad ?

This is the exact consequence of this topic existing in the “off topic” part of the forum.

why can I only like once ???

By what I understand of American politics as an outsider I’d say most Swedish parties are far leftist.

The bloody Tories are centre-left by Yank standards.

It depends on your perspective. Anyone right of me is a Fascist. Anyone left of me is a Communist.

My estimation as well. I fear the immigration crisis there will give rise to far right idiots.

Who is doing the exploiting though? If someone debating an issue with me brings out a child, I would be cheering it on as it is a pretty desperate stunt, no matter how how smart or valid the child may be.

Disclosure: I don’t know who this is

I gotta say I think that this thread ending up in off topic was the consequence to that

We have far right idiots already. They even have their own party. Early on, when they began appearing on the ballot, ironically a lot of their votes came from immigrants. Why? Their name: Sweden Democrats. What immigrants probably would want to vote for: Social Democrats. It’s equally similar in Swedish, so if you are new to the language you could readily make that mistake.

While the increase in immigration seems to have bolstered their ranks somewhat another factor that appears to have tend to have a definitive stance on issues while other parties struggle to do more than acknowledge that problems exist and something should be done without actively resolving or committing meaningfully to enforcing policies that they believe would work towards that.

Looking at Sweden historically many of our actions during WW2 were, to me, decidedly non-neutral (and aligned with the needs and wants of Nazi Germany). We also have our own indigenous population that still are treated as second-rate.

There’s some redeeming events in our history as well, for instance the role we played with ending apartheid in South Africa but I feel that it’s a tall ask of our youth to reconcile how we can have a far right party given the state of our nation today without also being honest about our history. It’s a nation that has changed a lot, as an example one common reaction to our own national anthem is to cringe as it speaks about the time when our country was great (accomplished by warmongering our fellow neighbours) and returning to that time.
