Thanks Chris!

I was looking for a dark mode extension for all sites in general. This site doesn’t really give me much problems when viewing it as it is but I’ll play around with the customizable options you suggested.

Haha, welcome, fellow geriatric!

  1. I confess i haven’t been to the gym since last Wednesday (due to wife being out of town and no babysitters) and that I didn’t really miss it.

  2. Start and Finished The Grand Design by Stephen Hawking this weekend. It made me realize that I truly do have a larger education than the general populous as I only found about 12 out 180 pages presenting material I didn’t already know. (Also the book is written for a popular audience and includes no math -) I was then ashamed at my arrogance exuding from that thought.

  3. More people need to stop reading Harry Potter and Twilight and start reading science and math books.

Hawking’s publisher and editor were probably glad he had a significant disability that probably prevented more aggressive communication regarding this matter :joy:

To be fair, the math is insanely complex, but some semblance of what the equations look like would have satisfied my curiosity a lot better.

One thing the book did make me think about is that many of theories (especially in string theory) call for 10 dimensions of space and one of time. How do we access the other 7 dimensions we can’t see? Be cool if we could, but they are supposedly on the subatomic scale.

I confess I read a post on hear from a respected member saying quad injections just weren’t worth it for many people.

I confess I wanted to show him he was wrong.

I also confess it’s been almost 3 days and my leg still hurts, my knee still hurts, and I have a bruise.

Ha, showed him

I’m going to confess that the ā€œ5 Exercises to Never Take Out of Your Programā€ thread looks more like a list of things to never put into your program.

Probably because they reached herd immunity.

The Swedes are all looking at us like we are idiots.

They took their beating (which is going to come, no matter what we do) and moved on.

Herd immunity requires something like 60% of the population to have effective antibodies; even in Stockholm the incidence in the population is well under 10%. Besides, looks like immunity from having had the virus wears off within a few months. Herd immunity doesn’t seem achievable - looks like it’s vaccine or bust.

I’m flying to Sweden next week Wednesday, I’ll keep an eye out for Swedes looking at me like I’m an idiot!

If immunity from catching Covid doesn’t last, then a vaccine won’t last, either.

Guys - Flame Free Thread - Let’s keep it on point.

Have you guys read any of the info on people getting Covid twice? There have been several cases documented, showing different DNA for the virus in the subsequent infections.

Probably be like the flu vaccinations, where you need to have one every year - and even then it’s not 100% effective because there are different strains of flu.

While this thread does indulge in tangents pretty regularly, this really isn’t a topic to get into here. There are 3 or 4 current threads where you can debate COVID treatments, effects, beliefs, theories, etc.

It’s really better for you guys to pick up this conversation in any of those before it becomes much more of a hijack.

Will do.

I confess I’m guilty of dragging a lot of topics covered elsewhere in here because this thread seems to have more intelligent posters and less trolls!

Confession: I finally got a Top Squat attachment the other day. Site says it’s 14 pounds, but I weighed it and it’s 11 pounds. I always planned on just counting it as 10 pounds for loading purposes, but I’m really kinda bummed out that it’ll basically be accurate and not a real underestimation.
