The only thing preventing me from going back to a flip phone is my camera. My cell phone camera is the only reason thereās proof of my familyās existence.
I know the flips have cameras but I like being able to identify the people in my photos.
$1,500 flip phone. Think I will have to sit this one out.

I confess that the only reason why I find it stupid to compare players from 50 years ago and now is that the players from now, in all sports, are faster, stronger, and overall better in almost every single way. Advancements, and fuckloads more money have guaranteed that. Yes, the football players in the 60s and 70s were tough and crazy motherfuckers. But they were almost all slower and weaker than the guys they have today. It wouldnāt even be a competition. Kids are groomed from birth now to be pro players.
And that unfortunately includes Mayweather vs Dempsey @T3hPwnisher, doubly so, because even though Mayweather is the least exciting, biggest douchebag boxer in history, heās a defensive mastermind in ways that werenāt even on anybodyās mind back then. You look at footwork and conditioning in the '20s vs now, itād be unfair. If we allow for Jack Dempsey to be born in todayās era and train like they do today, then sure. But if we scoop him, at his best, out of his era, and put him in the ring with Mayweather, heās probably not winning a single round, and heās going to land very few punches.

Yeah, thatās why I said if Jack could be transported to our age and trained this way, Iām sure heād destroy Mayweather. But advancements, drugs, training, drugs, diet, drugs, knowledge, and of course drugs have made things pretty uneven.

Eh, Jack is a heavyweight while Floyd is a welterweight at his highest. I donāt think it would be a fair match.

I actually never quite understood why some people are so passionate about comparing specially from other eras (but hey, whatever floats your boat, right? we all need to pass time somehow). I just like watching and appreciating the sport and athleticism, even if I donāt play that sport in question

In fairness, I was going to force Mayweather to fight in the rules of Dempseyās era, when you didnāt have to go to a corner and there was no standing 8 count, so stuff like this could happen
