Does that kind of go hand in hand with a pass is a pass, no one asks what your test score was?
My gym bag is basically a duffel bag that my work gave me, so itās pretty sturdy. I donāt think 20-something pounds of stuff will be enough to rip it.
Donāt freak out about undergrad stuff. In the grand scheme of things, itās rather relative concerning āgetting ahead of many.ā
What matters is the next 20-30 years youāll spend in that job position, and being cool with it.
Iāve changed my major 3 times so far for that simple fact. Iām determined to do something that doesnāt constantly awaken how futile I find most career titles. Futile probably isnāt the best word to describe how I view things. So maybe I should sayā¦idk. Just gonna with futile anyways.
I never even graduated, and thus donāt have a single degree to my name, and Iāve worked at more than one Fortune 500 company doing the things that I went to uni for. I think youāll be alright.
Getting ahead in your field will mean getting practical experience quickly.
Donāt be lulled into a false sense of security. Have you checked the bed for traps?
Itās called undergrad as short for undergraduate, as in itās the degree you study for before you graduate. As opposed to a postgraduate, a degree you study for after you graduate.
And now suddenly everything makes sense

Wow ! I guess some people donāt know this site has a profile function that allows one to see when someone joined. Not to mention the ability to view their post history. I assume if they are aware they hope no one is aware or bothers to look.
Depends on the context. The grades are important insofar as they relate to your ability to get accepted into post graduate programs, but if your goal is to simply have a degree Iāve never known an employer to go āWell, I know you got a Masters from Yaleā¦but it was with a B instead of an A average. I donāt think this is going to workā
I think this is true up until your highest qualification.
My GCSEās only had to be good enough to get me into my A levels, my A levels had to be good enough to get me into University, my Degree grade does count though.
It may be industry specific, but in my field employers will require a 2:1 or better, and a 1st class degree does hold extra weight.
This is until you have say 10+ years of job experience, at which point that becomes far more relevant that your degree.
Youāre British? Iād never have guessed
Heās an 'orrible immigrant coming over and taking our jobs and lifting our weights.
Heās lifting much more than me so thereās enough to spare ![]()
What if you are competing with someone else for a job, your profiles match, but the other guy graduated with 110 and you only did with 100? (we have number that goes from 0-110 as our final grade)
South African born, raised and living in England.
I donāt foresee this ever happening.
Iām not trying to downplay any single performance or player. Itās just damn near impossible to compare the two sports. 90 minutes of action for eight goals. Basketball is 48 minutes of action with 40-50 goals per team.
The interview ought to eliminate that issue.
With my hiring hat on, I imagine when comparing scores at that level it would be soft skills and interview technique that would determine the hire. If youāre comparing 100 with a 60 then youāve got a point, but two scores over 90% and Iām putting them in the same bracket.
