Try IF or the 5/2 diet-
I successfully lost 20-24lb (~185lb to 161lb at the lowest I got) eating very little food every other day over the period of some 3-4 months and walking a bit.
I didn’t “deprive” myself on eating days either. I’d eat out 2-3 times a week- McDonalds/In-N-Out/Five Guys/Popeyes/pizza are the common ones. I definitely would have had greater success (or lost weight faster) if I didn’t eat those though.
Of course, not every eating day is like that. Most times I ate whatever my mom made- traditional Korean food.
It is very easy to lose weight if you’re willing to deal with the fact that you’ll be hungry all the time, except for about an hour after you ate on eating days.
Now here’s a confession- I confess that most of what I lost in those 20-24lb was likely lean mass, since I lacked a barbell and did ineffectual training for muscle retention during that period. That probably made it easier to lose weight.
