Does anyone here bought the fitday.com software for diet tracking??
Does it worth the price? User friendly?

I use crosstrainer (www.crosstrainer.ca) which seems to work very well. There are some bugs where all of sudden it will shut down (very rare though). I would try the 30 day free trial. I did extensive research on this package and got the highest scores from independent reviewers.
Hope this helps…

Guys, there was a nutrition planner kicking around here for a while that a fellow T-Nation citizen worked up. It’s really good and I use it all the time.
I haven’t seen the guy who made it for a while, I don’t know if he’s still around.
If you would like to try a copy, PM me with your email and I’ll send you a copy.
It’s an Excel file.
There is a thread somewhere about it titled something like Nutrition Planner V2.1.1 or something like that.
Yes, I have the last version of nutrition planner but I was wondering if FITDAY was more efficient and user friendly…with the graphic aspect and all the other stuff…
Whats your opinion on this?
To be honest I haven’t tried FitDay. My girlfriend uses it and loves. The nutrition planner does everything I need it to do. So, if it ain’t broke, I don’t try to fix it.
All in all, Fitday is free. Try it. All is will cost is a little time, right? If you like it, let us know. Maybe I’m missing out on something great.
One word of caution. I remember my girl saying that when she had Fitday figure out her calorie needs, they were way off. I don’t remember whether they were high or low, just that they were incorrect. Make sure you double check any numbers they give you.
I’m sorry, in my last post I was speaking of the online package that you don’t pay for.
I don’t know about the software package they sell.
I use Diet & Exercise Assistant. It’s cheap ($9.95) and has all the foods you can imagine, with the capability of adding as many as you like. It does the usual macronutrient breakdown for each day, and you can track body measurements and weight. Despite it’s name, the only exercise assistance it allows is the input of daily exercise carried out (walking, cycling, etc), its duration, and it will calculate the calories you burnt. It will also estimate your BMR so you can plan your calorie consumption around the number of calories you’ll burn each day.
I was looking for something a bit more advanced that would allow tracking weights lifted, reps, and that sort of thing. I’ve read good things about Crosstrainer and was wondering if anyone around here used it, and what their thoughts were. If I get good feedback I’ll download the trial version.
