First White Man Runs Sub-10 in the 100m

White culture club is too broad… how big is Africa compared to Europe, Land mass and amount of countries. (Even counting the civilized white part or Russia) Who is to broad and generalized now.

And yes the horror of slaver and the following injustices. I never owned a slave, so i don’t give a shit, BUT if no one in America ever owned a slave where would all these people be. In Africa in a 3rd world country being chased by some asshole with a machete or an AK. Right now there is more forced slavery in Africa than there ever was in the US… so take your pick.

And I loved minority scholarships when I was in college. It gave me the opportunity to meet lots of new people because the “get your free ride - oh shit I have to study - party instead - drop out” rate was so high the cycle rolled over almost every semester.

Yesssss… I believe we just had the first, “slavery was actually good for black people,” claim in this thread.

This thread is just awesome.

The same can be said for black skin, hispanics, asians, etc. Skin color doesn’t HAVE to mean shit, but we make it mean something.
Sure, you can say that if you just want to legitimize something as silly as a white culture club. There’s no definitive white culture, they should have just called it Caucasian club.

There is no definitive black culture or Hispanic culture. You are implying a black guy from NYC that works in a corporate office with an MBA and BMW has the same culture as a black guy that lives in Georgia and works construction with a high school education and a pickup truck. All cultures are regionalized and subdivided. Black culture in Texas vs Alaska vs Rhode Island vs Uganda vs Jamaica vs Egypt vs Germany vs…anywhere else is different. You think that the culture of a Hispanic person who moved to the US last week is the same as a 3rd generation American?

Self segregation is just as stupid as forced segregation.

I am an American and I don’t need a hyphenated prefix to define myself or claim some entitlement I didn’t work for.

Lemaitre first white man to run 100m in under 10 seconds

Print This Article[-] Text [+] PARIS (Reuters) - France’s Christophe Lemaitre became the first white man to run the 100 meters in under 10 seconds when he clocked 9.98 on Friday, the French athletics federation said.

Lemaitre, 20, set his time during the French championships in Valence, southern France.

“He is the first white man to run the 100 meters in less than 10 seconds,” Jean-Philippe Manzelle, French athletics Federation press officer, told Reuters.

The former French record had been set by Ronald Pognon at 9.98secs in 2005.

Jamaican Usain Bolt is the world record holder with 9.58secs.

American Jim Hines became the first man to run the 100 meters in less than 10 seconds in 1968.

…Thats been a long time coming, will we have to wait another 50 years before this record is broken again?

It is a disgrace that it took this long to surpass Armin Hary (the fastest ever white who ran 10seconds dead in 1960), this is inspite of the major advances in training, nutrition and drugs being used in those intervening 50 years.

I’m reasonably certain there’s no white culture clubs in Africa. Get where I’m going with that?
Dude, have you met white people from Africa? There are high schools that operate the same way there…fully equipped with every club that we have here.

Where are the white girls?

The stupid thing is being proud of something you didn’t do i.e. I am white but I don’t take pride in what this guy did. You all are takeing this way to serisoue take it for it is a random interesting thing that happened, samething if a black guy does something he’s never done before it’s interesting, no need to get mad or take pride in it.

And about the honkey n-word thing. People bitch about that but does anyone even say honkey? I’ve never had a black person so something racist to me for being white and i’ve never said something racist to a black person.
How many people who complain about that have actually been called a honkey.

And if someone ever calls you a racist term call them an asshole, cuz it’s just them calling you that you call them a racist term your dissing all your freinds who are taht race.

All racism is bad end of story.

Also regarding black use of the n-word and whites not being able to. I had a group of freinds I used to hang out with from a black neighborhood, n-word was just the same as dude basically. Some would say it to me watup n$$$ i’d say what up bro just cuz thats how I talk and sometimes he’d look mildly confused and say the n word a lot confused I didn’t say it back, the idea of it being anything other than dude didn’t even cross his mind, and he was fine with me saying it (I didn’t).

Another kid in the group never said that word, and my white friend said it and he didn’t go crazy or anything but he hid it but he looked a tiny bit hurt.

Thats why you don’t say it it’s a dual meaning word, maybe ninety percent of the group won’t care but I just don’t say it cuz that kid was my friend to and it upset him, who cares it means the same as bro anyway which I say to everyone. But who knows maybe eventually it would totally lose the original meaning.

Uh… the Springboks?

Thread is ridiculous! I belong to a rugby (aka white culture) club and I’m proud of it. I also play hockey which is basically as white or whiter than rugby. I also played lacrosse and went to a new england boarding school. I did not realize that these darker skinned folks were such a widespread epidemic across our country… (i’m joking on that last sentence, in case your brain is missing, like our black president’s)

I think people might be misunderstanding these “culture clubs.” They aren’t:

(a) Serious educational tools
(b) Militant gangs that exclude others

They are just goofy student-run clubs founded (mostly) by dorks who are trying to make friends.

In high school, I went to Chinese Culture Club because I dated an Asian chick for a while. Somebody brought in egg rolls their mom made and we watched a Jackie Chan movie. In college, Black Student Union would do breakdancing shows, and anybody was allowed to come and/or compete. It’s not about trying to define a culture, it’s just about making friends.

The people who get all butthurt about anybody trying to celebrate their culture or suggest that there actually are differences between races/cultures/etc., are just as annoying as those who are openly racist.

No he’s correct, white people aren’t physiologically built for sprinting, like black people aren’t physiological built for strength with some exceptions. How many Olympic gold medallist powerlifyers are black? It’s to do with slow and fast twitch fibres. You think it’s coincidence that 100m sprint record is has been held by a black guy for like the majority of forever? And the greatest power lifters and strongmen are predominately white?
Sorry, this is absolute bollocks. You know the “sprint gene” is found in 98% of Jamaicans, but also in 80% of Europeans. That does not account for the massive discrepancy in performance.

The difference is that in countries like Jamaica more children are encouraged to sprint and are talent spotted from a young age. Here in the UK, there are few athletics stadiums (it’s mostly dedicated football stadiums, sadly) and the sport is not really promoted in schools. That’s why we produce few world class athletes.
You mean to tell me that foot speed is based entirely upon a single “sprint” gene? And here I was blaming my club foot, stubby, uneven legs, and 10 pound penis for never making it to the Olympics. I was really held back for want of a single gene affecting (I’m guessing) none of those.

PLEASE READ MORE BOOKS OF ACADEMIC WORTH. I will not call anyone out but it is apparent that many simply need to do more learning and less following of their respective crowd. What your dad, friends, community, etc think may very well be wrong. I live in a very white community and hear garbage spouted all the time. I am hispanic and am equally ashamed by some of the beliefs held by relatives. There are multiple posts on this thread that are factually incorrect, others that are factually correct yet used as support in incorrect manners, and others which are just simply ignorant.

Being educated does not make one better per se, however, it quite frankly makes one a better contributor to discussions, even of the online genre.

Further, Whites have not ran sub 10 for mostly physiological reasons. It is crazy that in ths day of genetic mapping and the relevance that genes have shown to play in everything : physical strength, fat loss, muscle gain, propensity toward disease (ex: blacks have much higher propensity for sickle cell and it has been proven that this is likely an adaptation that was passed down to avoid dying from malaria), etc etc etc. Whites as a whole (averaage, median, mean: use whatever statistical method suits you) have less quick twitch fiberst than blacks → hence less fast, in general.

We all came from Africa. Largely our genetic characteristics, appearance, skin color is the product that our ancestors survived in. Blacks have more pigment to reduce danger to hot sun, eskimos have higher body hair count, etc etc.

To discount genetics in sports in this current age is plain stupid. It can even come down to the genetics in a smaller sample → Jamaicas dominate sprinting, Kenyans and Ethiopenas dominate long distance. Yes we are all 99.9 percent genetically the same but at elite levels of any human endeavor that .1 pecent counts.

End Rant.

Read Books.

True. Delineation between high-school culture clubs and special interest groups, noted. And interest in this discussion fully exhausted. Time to go celebrate my culture by drinking some lagers and cleaning my guns… Yeah aMerica!

THIS type of culture club is a good idea as far as I’m concerned. Especially where you don’t have to be that race, ethnicity, color, whatever it is, to go and have a good time. Is all that exclusivity nonsense I guess that bugs me.
