First of all I am white, and American.
For simplicity sake I’m going to call cultural differences “racism” here because racism is the term thrown around way to easily based on cultural differences. How can you have culture without difference. Even the definition of racism is trying to water down culture. I am NOT racist in my opinion but i am aware of cultural differences. I actually enjoy the differences in culture because i like to learn about them. Look into American linguistics.
rac·ism
â?? â??/?reªsªz?m/ Show Spelled[rey-siz-uhm] Show IPA
â??noun
1.
a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one’s own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
2.
a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
3.
hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.
Second I went to a high school where whites were a minority. In my honest humble opinion you cant have a “racism” free culture with so many cultures integrated into one country. Look at history, its never worked. The only way to completely eradicate racism is to mix all races. There are always culture stereotypes. For example, when an American goes to a foreign country and asks a local a question, the scenario proceeds as so… “Excuse me, do you know where i can find a bathroom?” local answers, “Huh?” he does not understand the angry American (white, black, mexican, asian, all English speaking Americans). Instead of trying to find another form of communication, perhaps body language, the American instead speaks louder assuming he will be understood asking the same exact question, treating the local as if he were a child. Now hating americans cant be racist because we’re a culture melting pot.
There are also racial stereotypes, while stereotypes aren’t always true, some are. For example I’ve worked as a server for years. Eight times out of ten black people were terrible tippers and they were always displeased with something about their meal. I’ve even seen black servers avoid waiting on black tables. That being said whites are sometimes just as bad. White snobs are probably the worst type of people to wait on. There are countless others but I’m already writing a book here.
Moving on to slavery. I love how black people assume that White Americans were the root of slavery. Slavery traces all the way back to 1760 BC. That’s a LONG time ago. BEFORE American if some of you aren’t aware. We were militarily more sophisticated than the African culture and brought them here and it just happened to stay that way. Life happens. People have died unnecessarily for thousands and thousands of years. That’s part of evolution. It’s humanity’s form of natural selection in my opinion. Last but not least ill throw down this face i received from a wiki-slavery source.
“In response to pressure by Western Allies of World War II, Ethiopia officially abolished slavery and serfdom after regaining its independence in 1942. On 26 August 1942 Haile Selassie issued a proclamation outlawing slavery.”
You’re welcome. Western allies would include France, England, and America. Most likely American though. I believe Ethiopia was predominately “black” as well.
SO AMERICA, Get off the slave train. Bad stuff happened all over the world for thousands of years, yet you aren’t holding on to any of that! Seems a point from convenience if you ask me. Get over it… Open your closed mind… and appreciate the life you live here in America, even with all the corruption and crooked business, we still live like kings compared to some.
And yes, i finally stopped lurking do to this post full of ignorance and self righteousness… Congrats to that fast white man by the way… kudos…

You should’ve put ignorance and self righteousness in quotation marks, because I failed to see any. I just saw personal observations. Stereotypes DO exist for a reason…otherwise, they generally wouldn’t be perpetuated for any significant period of time. To pretend otherwise is sticking one’s head in the sand.
