Yes, I read your last post, but I’m quoting this one. I’m not debating that open racism from the early to mid 1900’s doesn’t affect us AT ALL, but I DO believe too much importance is placed on that shit. I also happen to think the media reports so much on racism to perpetuate it. More “racism” (whether it’s legitimate or not isn’t always relevant) = more news stories = media wins.

However. I honestly don’t get why ANYBODY, black, white, chinese, whatever, should get a scholarship for their race. They didn’t choose their race. They did nothing to “earn” it. I think thats justice. However I also realize its never gonna happen because its a political non-starter and its too difficult several generations later to give the equivalent of 40 acres and a mule to all black people. Like biracial people would get 20 acres and pig or something.

I get where you’re coming from, but bear in mind. “I” didn’t contribute to slavery, lynchings, etc etc. Neither did my parents. Neither did their parents. So why should I have to pay for crimes I never committed? It’s not justice when the people you punish aren’t the ones that committed crimes.

You could argue “blacks are generally poorer due to under-the-radar discrimination, therefore people more statistically wealthy should help them out” or something along those lines. But of course, any sort of welfare type thing always gets badly abused, often causing more problems than it ever solves…it’s not an easy problem to fix by any means.

Different cultures as normal? One universal culture has never existed and never will.
It annoys me that people attribute racism to differences in skin colour and nothing else. The problems have always come from what the skin colour and other physical aesthetics represent. We know that it can give an idea of where someones heritage has come from over thousands of generations.
America seems to have grown into your mindset almost universally and is followed closely by the rest of the western world.

Different cultures is normal and always has been. Different cultures have often waged war on one another and that is what history has shown is normal.

If the British population was replaced by people of African decsent it would be embarrassing and would no longer be British.
That is becase Britain is for the British, France is for the French, Germany is for the Germans and Europe is for Europeans.
If I lived in China, I would never be considered Chinese - because frankly, I’m not.

As a side note, the countries of the west seem to be the only counrties entering this new social model.
