First Time Training Log

Today’s workout was good but I am feeling like I am going to need to start cruisng here pretty soon.

So here I am at the end of a cruising phase. I’ve been slowly progressing in Strength while my body weight fluctuates within a five pound range. I am now able to do 10 wide grip pull ups, and bench 155 for about 10 reps. My squat and deadlift are slowly but surely climbing up.

I don’t want to be one of those guys who jumps from program to program, but I miss doing a 5X5. I am thinking about either doing this next or just designing my own program that incorporates periodization.

The NASM test is in two months and I am really digging the model they have designed. FOr the next two weeks though, I’ll be doing a simple 5 day split. Here is tomorrows workout.

Legs

Barbell Back squat: Warm up Bar (15-20 reps)
115 lbs (10 reps)
135 (6 REPS)
180 6(6-8 REPS)
160 (As many to failure.)

Hack Squat: Warm Up 1 plate on each side
2 plates on each side 3 (12-15 reps)
2 plates plus 15 on each side 2 (10-12)

lEG pRESS wARM UP 180 (10)
270 (10)
360 5 (10-12)

lEG cURL 90 (15)
120 4 (10-12)
