I am considering running my first cycle and I am here looking for people thoughts, opinions and advice.
Background
I am 36 year old male, married with 2 children. Underwent a vasectomy last year. I have been training on/off since I was 16, both resistance and conditioning.
I am 5ft 7" height , currently sitting around 210 pounds with just under 20% body fat.
I have being doing my research and plan on running a very mild testosterone cycle. I plan on running 200mg testosterone cypionate for 10 weeks injecting 100mg Monday and Thursday each week. Planning on having Arimidex on hand if needed and if so using 0.5mg every other day.
After the 10 weeks I plan on taken a week off then starting my PCT.
PCT will be Nolvadex 40mg per day for two weeks and decrease to 20mg per day for the other two weeks.
Training will 4 days lifting, push pull upper lower split with conditioning 2 days a week.
Nutrition will be 3 meals a day, one night time snack. Keeping protein high with plenty of eggs, red meat, chicken, salmon and Greek yogurt with plenty fruit and veg. Hydration 3 to 4 litres a day.
Additional supplements, omega 3, vitamin d and magnesium.
Any thoughts, opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Your plan is fine but you may want increase the test a bit.
Personally i think 400-500mg/wk is a great first cycle.
Also maybe wait 2 weeks after you stop to start PCT.
Yeah, 200 mg/wk is basically just shutting yourself down for very little gain. Especially only at doing it for 10 weeks. It is almost all risk and no reward.
If you’re over 200lbs at this height and even 19%, you would be massive. Are you already that swole? If so, I don’t see the need for a simple T cycle. Why not cut 10-20lbs and get down a few % in BF?
Get an extensive blood hormone panel done before you start your cycle. If your hormones are above average, I’d advise against going the AAS route.
If you’re dead set on doing a cycle then go to at least 400-500mg a week. Run it for at least 12 weeks.
200mg is basically a higher TRT dose and all you will be doing is shutting down your natural testosterone production and replacing it with a bit higher amount of exogenous testosterone.
Be prepared for the possibility of not fully returning to your previous baseline and having to go the TRT route.
500mg is a good start, id titrate up to 750mg if were you and run the cycle for at least 24 weeks. At 16 weeks youll probably start seeing gains that you’re really satisfied with so coming off wouldn’t make sense at that time. Just get your bloods done around then and make sure everything is managed. That’s just my opinion.
