Yes and No, Im not at his show but we dont live far from each other. But his show is in a different state. He’s not near a computer for a while though. And his fans appear to be antsy lol. Just doing him a favor posting these. [/quote]

I do. Belgium, New York. It’s a small rural area. Not on most maps.

I was going to wait for him to post this but he’s probably passed out from his post-show food coma, but ebomb won the novice class. They wouldn’t let him compete in the open because it was his first show.
Holy shit. Amazing work. Didn’t check in here for way too long… absolutely amazing physique. Back shots look absolutely first class, so does your “X-Frame” and the leg shot that way posted might well be some of the best natty quads I have ever seen. Wow. Amazing work Evan. HUGE inspiration for me. Up there with J-Rod for sure in how much you inspire me as to how far this thing can be taken. Thanks for this thread.

Not sure if it’s because of it being his first show,or if they possibly have a no-cross-over policy (some federations do), but…
HELL YEAH!!! WAITING ON PICS BIG-E! WAKE UP, EAT SOME PANCAKES AND APPEASE YOUR FANS!

He said the NGA only allows first time competitors to enter the novice class, they cannot ocmpete in the open.
Personally I think that’s an incredibly dumb rule and does now allow the best competitor to win the overall aka Evan. I’m still really happy for him though.
Haha wow, love the support guys and I appreciate you all being patient : ).
It’s been a whirlwind and I haven’t really had access to a computer until now when I got back to school, but I’ll give you all an update.
So the show went very well and I was extremely pleased placing first in a stacked novice class with 11 competitors. All of the guys in the novice class looked great and I’m sure many of them could have competed and placed in the open classes had we been able to.
To clarify, I would have competed in the open class had I been allowed to, but for this contest, first time NGA competitors were only allowed to compete as Novices. Many of the guys in the novice class that I had spoken to had competed the prior week in an NPC show and placed 3rd and 4th in their open classes, so I was competing against some pretty good guys.
I spoke with the judges afterwards and they were all very shocked that this was my first contest. They all said that my legs could have been harder and one said that my upper chest could have been better, but besides that, everything looked pretty good. I will post the pics when they put them up online as the ones we got were pretty bad because of the lighting.
Last night I went pretty wild with the food and will end that today and begin my offseason by doing Chris Aceto’s post-contest diet. If you search google, you can find it, but basically what it says is that for the first 3-4 weeks following the contest, consume 150 grams of carbs more than what you were averaging on the diet, so my starting macros tomorrow will be as follows:
Protein: 300 grams
Carbs: 275-300 grams
Fat: 80 grams
I think this will allow me to take advantage of my metabolism best without gaining too much fat.
I appreciate all of the support that everyone gave me throughout this entire process…it’s been a long haul. I’ll keep updating this thread as my offseason progresses and hopefully we can make this a learning process for both the contest prep and the offseason.
