So, mountain man deleted his bb.com profile because he could not gouge more freebies out of them…

Where the hell do you go swimming?

I think he has a respectable physique. I’ve grown up all around australia and have yet to see more physiques like that than not.

seeing how it seems to be the ultimate goal of T-Nation (forgive the massive generalisation I understand everyone has different goals) to look good nekkid and that he would be a lot closer to that than a lot of the posters here then people should give him a bit of credit.

But a bit of a myspace shot with the lighting.

I also remember hearing something about egg shells having a fair amount of calcium.

That really happened?

I can’t count how many people I’ve known who got puffed up by pride and feelings that they were God’s Gift to everyone…

It’s a shame…he seemed like a pretty cool guy…

It sure is odd how someone who obviously hits the weights, trains in his garage and tries to eat whole, nutritious foods, has leanness that 99% of the gym population cannot seem to pull off and can actually pass for a musician gets ripped to shreds (no pun intended) by so many here.
It’s just jealousy. Yes, he’s not hyooge - but like you said in the quote I pulled - why rag the guy for having a lean, muscular physique? - Unless it’s insecurity.

That’s just the way it is with guys - you always look at other dudes and think “I’m tougher, cooler, better-looking, more muscular, insert whatever attribute you want here, etc…”

We’re ultra-competitive on virtually every level. Ripping on a guy like this is just a manifestation of that.

Now with the negative out of the way, I’ll give him props for working hard and staying lean.
don’t give this guy any ideas, lol

Read from post 63 down.

"I think I’ve gone about as far as I’m going to with this. I just fade out into nonexistence from here, man. BodySpace is about a million members shy of where it needs to be before anyone pays attention to the top memebers on this site.

As it is now, the best anyone can get is 5 free supplements a month and the title of “Rep” from a supplement company. That’s not really my thing, I don’t think. I’m still holding out for the omega-3 egg contract."

So, a person on a free public forum believes they should get fortune, fame and free products for being a “top member”. Plus, people should “pay attention” to top members. I’d be thrilled to get 1 free supplement a month. Getting 5 a month would cause me to giggle like a schoolgirl.

MM works hard, is lean and appears to be fairly intelligent. However, his attitude of entitlement is absurd.

Agree…

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen this on Bodybuilding/Fitness sites, including “The Nation”…

Pride and/or feelings of Entitlement are killers…

Mufasa

Well, I need to man up and say that it seems I misinterpreted Mountain Man’s writing. He does appear to be more upset about BB.com’s supplement pushing than anything.

Ain’t text a bitch?

I read a couple of his posts since then and he even PM’d me on the BB.com forums about it. Why he’d care about the opinion of some schmuck is beyond me, but I thought it spoke well of his character.

No, actually they’re rejoinders.

Calcium.

If I was walking down a mall of bodybuilding/strength websites, T-Nation would be like the hot topic store equivilancy. All everyone here is here for shock value. People love to shock people into thinking “wow, they think this guy has a little muscle, and THIS guy says he’s skinny!!” It’s so stupid it’s not even funny. Face it, the guy has a lot of muscle, he’s not 25% bodyfat thinking he’s still in his bulk phase for another 10 more years before he can represent “a bit” of muscle like you guys apparently think needs to be done. I’ve seen very few people here actually show off better physiques (maybe 10 people max), so shut up.

This is what it comes down to. When people say that 90 degrees is “cold” just because they live somewhere that’s usually 100 or more, that’s simply for shock value. Don’t say 90 degrees is cold, because it’s not, it’s just slightly more tolerable than what you’re used to. Generally an acceptable “cold” is below 60. 60-80 is good, anything above 80, especially 90 is HOT, i don’t care what you’re used to. THE SAME THING GOES FOR PHYSIQUES!! THIS GUY HAS A LOT OF MUSCLE, DON’T SAY HE IS SKINNY OR HAS LITTLE MUSCLE AND IS JUST USING LIGHTING TO GET MORE! He has a lot of muscle, so don’t be a bunch of high school hot topic idiots, grow up. that’s all.

Only in Texas would 60 degrees be considered cold!

Not everyone ragged on him, jackass.

And as I recall he didn’t have what I’d call a lot of muscle, he was just lean. (Very lean)

i agree w/ you , mostly, on the muscle part. but you’re way off on the cold part. not everyone lives in texas man and we have to go quite a bit further down the mercury till you get to cold. i mean if you say 60 is “cold” you’ve pretty much shot your wad of adjectives. what do call 45 ? 30 ? 15 ? 0 ? -15 ? -25 ?

if you said 60 was cold around here my mom would say “you need to put some meat on your bones”. my house stays @ 58 in the winter. we call that “comfortable”. no one says “cold” until about 25…and i don’t even live in canada. seriously man the rest of the world really is bigger than texas.
