Finally Found My Sweet Spot

i’m 32 yrs old, i started working out since i was 18 yrs old, on and off until the past 8 months, i decided to come back and keep it for good, my height is 180 cm and i weighted 115kg, now i’m 84kg, still have 20 to 25% BF on, but i achieved 70% of my goal.

i see respect in my friends and colleagues eyes every day, my wife loves me more and my son thinks i’m his iron man… my life changed for good.

i always had problem in adding muscles although i’m a hard worker at the gym, i take it serious and train like an animal, due to my work it’s hard for me to eat 6 clean meals a day, but i can take as much supplements as i want.

finally i found the mix that my muscles love and grow with, keeping in mind all other aspects such hard training, sleeping, …, etc.

i’m gonna talk about after workout shake, i’ll keep it simple and straight, this is my sweet growth spot:

-100 Grams of protein (ISO 100, 4 scopes)
-100 Grams of Oat grinned very well with 6 Amino tabs (Prolab)
-1 big scope of Creatine powder (Nutrex Creatine drive)
-2 big scopes of Glutamine (Muscle Pharma)

put it all in one big shaker, mix well with skimmed milk or water and consume instantly after your workout.

sleep good and watch your body growing as never before, again keep in mind all other factors, they are important too…

That’s a lot of protein powder!

what does your pre workout and intra workout look like? for me those two play a much bigger role in recovery than post. i understand each individual is different but something to consider. if its working for you then keep at it!

actually if you think about it it’s not not a lot at all, since my body needs 400 to 500 grams of protein per day!!

i consume protein shakes three time a day, when i wake up, after workout, before i go to bed, sometimes i take it when i wake up in the middle of the night and find my self hungry, i put couple of scopes on milk, drink and go back to bed…

and i rare occasions before workout.

Pre workout: i take liquid Amino (TwinLab)or 6 tablets of Prolab, consume high carb meal 30 to 45 minutes before i hit the gym, sometimes i cycle Animal Stack with Amino, it works well for me except for the acne side effect from Animal Stack.

As for Intra workout i consume lots of water and that’s all !!

sometimes i drink Turkish coffee when i feel dizzy or not focused. it stimulate me hard.

i always think about and prepare for next day training! i imagine tomorrows exercise, reps, resting time, intensity, music, wights, i keep myself motivated, focused, determined.

i never talk to any one during my exercise unless asking for a spotter, i totally feel that i’m a man on a mission.

Not really sure what advice your looking for but you can drop the glutamine out of your shake unless you are taking in for digestive health reasons.

Also, you don’t need any of those aminos in your pre-workout shake either since you are not fasted.

Neither supplement is hurting you physically just wasting money for the return you get.

Good luck.

You don’t need that many grams of protein in a day. Many Mr. Olympia competitors don’t even get that much protein in a day.

I would have guessed that many Mr. Olympia competitors do get that much protein but I do agree he doesn’t need that much.
